Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Brenda (Boyer) Kohr. My husband Pete and I are researching his side of the family (Kohr/Smith)&(Minnich/Buxton), as well as my own (Boyer/Grimes) & (Beil/Shott). We are not trying to see how many memorials we can amass so that we can have our numbers posted in the "Top Contributors" catagory. We want to make memorials to pay tribute to our families and friends and hopefully help others to find theirs.

We enjoy helping others by photographing grave markers. There are times that we may photograph markers that are near the ones we were asked to take photos of, or if we see one with our surnames. If there is no memorial for these extra photos that we take....I create one. If by chance I happen to create a memorial for a relative or a friend of yours don't hesitate to ask for a transfer. I don't feel the need to keep memorials that I have created. (unless they are family) I only created them so that someone may find a member of their family or a friend.

Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone

It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born

Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so

I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you

Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us every day,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear.

RE: Sarah A. Wonderlich Memorial# 67715992
My initial response to this message has me thinking. In an earlier message you said, "There is no reason to add her name as a transcription." Once again, leaving off the person's name results in a partial transcription; therefore, not a transcription. More importantly ... more often than not, a person's name inscribed on their gravestone in not the same as their full (or even partial) name on the Memorial.

Not to lecture, but, maybe to a fault, I go by what my H.S. math teacher, Nellie Kitchens, often said, "Half way doins ain't no account in this world or the next."

Of course, but then its only a partial transcription ... according to your personal guidelines.

RE: Sarah A. Wonderlich Memorial# 67715992
Thanks for your reply re Sarah's Marker Transcription. I didn't notice the % instead of & and messed up on the 29 vs 20. I wonder if the former is one of those gratuitous HTML changes.

Is that part of the inscription reading ...

Wife of
W.D. Wonderlich.

to be ignored?

I submitted an edit of the verbatim Marker transcription for Sarah, to replace the partial transcription. You declined that edit. Why?
Thanks,

Local memorials to manage
I am soon going offline for an indefinite time for various reasons including ill health and I am looking for stewards for some of my memorials.

I'd prefer not to just turn them over to Find A Grave and have them manage them by default.

I have some I am keeping as close family, but the rest are not.
