Bio and Links
Bio Photo WHAT IS FIND A GRAVE

Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request.

How do I get a relative's memorial transferred. FAQ's

I stay with Guild lines set by FIND A GRAVE for transfer.

That would be relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, your grandparents, Your great-grandparents,your children, your grandchildren, and your great-grandchildren.
NO BULK TRANSFERS.

If dates or name is wrong on the stone it should be added to the bio. Find a grave wants what is on the stone, per FAQ's

If a hyphen or an apostrophe is part of the name, use the punctuation.
Use a period after names where only an initial is known. If the full name is known, use the full name and not the initial.
Do not use any other punctuation within any Name Field.
Do not use Full capitalization (ALL-CAPS) of names in any Name Field.
Suffixes, Prefixes, Titles, or honorary do not belong in any Name Field.

Find a Grave's mission is to find, record and present final disposition information from around the world as a virtual cemetery experience.

I DO NOT link to burial UNKNOWN.

DATES WILL STAY AS THEY ARE ON THE STONE. If stone has 1900 as the year then that is what I will keep. If the stone is wrong a note can be added.

FAQ's

If there are two memorial pages for the same individual, and one has an Other Burial designation (Cremation, Body Lost, burial at Sea, Donation, Non-Cemetery, or Unknown), and the other gives the location of a cenotaph or memorial marker, the memorial page with the Other Designation may be merged into the memorial page with a physical cenotaph stone or memorial location.

So the burial unknown will be gone.

Find a Grave has rules read the FAQ's. I follow them.

Rules for FLOWERS

Do not leave derogatory or politically charged notes. Inappropriate notes will be removed, and individuals who continue to leave derogatory or politically charged notes will have their account closed. Additionally, biographical information and obituaries are not to be included in a virtual flower. Limit flowers to no more than one flower per memorial per day.

Please do not post scanned obituariesto the memorials I have add. If found I will send them in to be removed.

I give up on walking cemeteries or adding memorials for find a grave. Too many people are adding burial unknown and body lost just to make a family tree. Then They move them after other do the work and finds the grave. If you can not do the work to find the burial place you should not add them.
