I am retired from the Michigan Department of Agriculture and hope to, someday, visit every Township and City in Michigan and document those visits with photos of what I see. One of my interests is finding graves of famous people who are buried in Michigan.|

I recently subscribed to newspapers.com. They have both the Lansing STate Journal and Battle Creek Enquirer online, so I got a lot of information from the obits, too. I had already gathered information on other people in the family who lived in SW Michigan mostly, but the Lansing clan I had only barely begun until then. I went to the Lansing library and got a few obituaries back then, but that was quite a few years back. The online scenario is much easier!

I'm in Battle Creek.

Thanks for your correction to my suggestion! Lyle J is actually my 2nd cousin but I don't remember ever getting to meet him. The only one in his family that I remember meeting is his grandmother on a visit to her home when I was very young. I just now found enough information to add the family to my tree and while the tree is straight my thinking wasn't when I requested that change.
Thanks again. Keith

Hi Mr. Martin, My name is Rose Thomison and I am trying to find some ancestors of mine that lived in Wayne County Detroit Michigan. I can find them on the census but nothing beyond that. I traced my cousin Irene Phillips McDaniel to living in the house with Celestine Williams in the 1930 census. I saw a photo you posted of Celestine Williams at Forest Lawn. Do you know her or her family? Please contact me the names I am lookinf for is Joan Haston ,Irene Phillips Holsey McDaniel, Wallace Phillips or Fred Holsey. If you know of any of these families please let me know. I am looking for families of these individuals even though they may be gone on they may have had children and their children.
email@example.com Thank You
But I just saw you already knew that:)

It IS in Clinton County. Waverly Road is the border of Clinton and Ingram. Chapel Hill is West of Waverly: Clinton County (not sure if it's in DeWitt Township...but it's not the city of DeWitt.

You have listed this Cemetery as being in DeWitt, Clinton, Michigan. However, all available resources, Phone book, the Cemetery itself lists its address as Lansing, Ingham, Michigan.
The zip code you list is for Lansing, Ingham, Michigan.
Thank you for all you do.

What a beautiful photo of the entrance of Mt. Olivet Cemetery. I am once again asking permission to use your photo in my family book. I have great- aunts and uncles buried in unmarked grave sites at Mt. Olivet so the entrance photo would be a nice touch. Again my book is non-profit with limited distribution to interested family members.
