Bio Photo *~Note from contributor:I have been taking a break for a while. It was necessary, but I'm going to try to get back into the swing of things and do better with responding to requests and emails. Thanks for your patience and understanding.I'm originally from Indiana. My husband is in the military, so we've moved a few times. I love my husband, my dog, music, traveling, history, genealogy, photography and cemeteries. If you plan on using my photos for your personal research or on a for-profit site such as, please contact me first. Stealing my work without crediting me is wrong. Generally, when asked, I will say yes, but I must be asked. Please read the FAQ's for Find a Grave for their take on this.I enjoy trying to research all of the people that I've entered, and I at least try to put their mother and father and spouse. I will also try to find a female spouse's maiden name. I will NOT just copy and paste an obituary, because I think that's a lazy way to make a memorial.*All photos by Blair are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License This means that you may copy any grave photo I've personally photographed for your own personal use (no modifications without prior written consent) as long as I am credited for the photo.

Susan Hall
request for copying your work
Hi Blair,
I am new to Find a Grave. I am doing some research for the children and grandchildren of Guy Dee Hall. I am an aunt for the children. The information is wonderful. I was wondering if I may copy and use the photos and information on the Hall lineage and pass along to the family.
Thank you for your work. It is greatly appreciated.
The children and grandchildren may join Find a grave as well, but I was wanting to forward the info I have found to pass along to help the process go faster.
Thank you for your time,
Susan Hall

RE: James C. Hays
that is awesome! Thank you for that! It didn't occur to me to look at the index for Orange County. I don't know why it didn't, I just spent the last few days digging through indexes in Monroe County, you'd think it would have! I just found out my uncle has some documents related to James' death, all confirmed. Thanks for your help!

James C. Hays
Hello Blair:

I recently discovered that I had family buried at Liberty in Orange County, IN and visited this cemetery over the weekend. I am still in the process of connecting family members to each other, and see that you have listed James C. Hays as the son of Lorenzo D. and Sarah E. Hays.

his info:
birth: Jan. 9, 1878
Death: Oct. 17, 1904

His data:
James was the son of Lorenzo D. and Sarah E. Miller Hays. He married Susan "Sue" Mathews on June 13, 1901 in Orange County, Indiana.

He was killed by a train at Salem, Indiana.

I was wondering if you wouldn't mind sharing how you know that this is their James? (I thought their James was a James R. this is why I ask.) Lorenzo is my 3xgreat grandfather.
any info you can share would be very helpful, thanks!

Please do not copy these photos without my permission.

Dear Blair,

Would you please consider transferring Michael Georg Bauer to me. Michael is my husband's g-grandfather, and the only one in the family buried in this cemetery. I would like to fill in more information on him and link him to the rest of the family.
