Bio

Cadmus is the combined efforts of our family in Pulaski County, Kentucky. Our hopes are that our listings will help others to find family and friends no matter how distant.

We feel this site can be a great aid in copping with grief after the loss of a loved one. We have contributed countless hours and efforts in adding memorials and biographical information to Find A Grave. The majority of the memorials we have added are of people unknown to us. These were added with the greatest respect.

If you would like a transfer of a memorial of someone please be nice there is no need to be rude or unfriendly. We consider all transfer requests that are submitted to us but reserve the choice to adhere to Find A Grave guidelines for memorial transfers. (direct-line/ four generations). Please remember that there are thousands of contributors to Find A Grave and it is highly likely that some of those contributors may be part of our family tree and share some of your ancestors. The goal is not to own every memorial of those to whom you may be related to but to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it. We keep a listing of all the memorials we have transferred in our virtual cemetery section enabling us to stop by from time to time and leave flowers.

Researching our family Genealogy and History has become an enjoyable pastime for us. If you would like to contribute information to someone's biography or if we have made a mistake in our information to any of the interments we have listed, please don't hesitate in contacting us. Because of copyright laws our memorials are written in past tense and not a copy of a obit from a funeral home. We also try to give credit to any funeral home, family member or friend of the family for the information we use. We do not violate the federal copyright act. It takes a lot longer to create a memorial in past tense to help others to be remembered but well worth the time. Please do not place death certificates or newspaper obits on any of the memorials we have created. We would rather you send us an "edit / Suggest a correction or an addition" and we will be happy to add the information to the memorial's biographical section. We prefer to utilize the picture area for photos and grave markers for these people to be remembered by.

Has a contributor to Find A Grave we often think of a quote from author, John Bunyan. "You have not lived today until you have done something for someone who can never repay you." Our contributions to Find A Grave is our way of honoring this quote. We would like to thank our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ for blessing us with the ability to help those who have gone before us to be remembered because we know that we only live as long as we are remembered.

REVELATION 2:17 "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the Churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it."

REVELATION 21:4 "He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

Not just any cemetery: The Mount of Olives Cemetery also known as the Har Hazaitim Cemetery in Jerusalem, Jerusalem District, Israel is the most ancient and most important Jewish cemetery in Jerusalem. The cemetery is located on a mountain ridge east of and adjacent to Jerusalem's Old City and was named for the olive groves that once covered its slopes. The cemetery contains anywhere between 70,000 and 150,000 tombs from various periods, including the tombs of famous figures in Jewish history. Several key events in the life of Jesus, as related in the Gospels, took place on the Mount of Olives, and in the Acts of the Apostles it is described as the place from which Jesus ascended to Heaven.
