William Lemuel Atkins
Hi Mike -
I am Carrol Williams and I am married to Carol Ann Atkins. In doing research on the Atkins family I noticed that you were requesting information on William Lemuel Atkins. I certainly would appreciate any information that you might have on this Atkins family so that I can add it to my wife's information. Thanks so much.

Jesse Pierson Pearson
Hi Mike:

As you are aware there is a lot of different information on Jesse. There actually are two Jesse Pearsons during the same period. One born in Indiana and one born in NC. I am not at home but would be happy to send you info that I have. He was actually divorced by one wife and died in Logan, Utah. I have a copy of the divorce if you are interested. You can email me at

Jesse Pearson Civil War papers
Hi Mike!

As you are related to Jesse Pearson, I thought I would bring to your attention a current Ebay Auction containing your Jesse Pearson's Civil War Discharge Papers, ID, photo, etc., ... just in case you were interested. (It is not my auction) To see it, go to and search "19th Indiana Iron Brigade". It doesn't show his name in the title, but these are his papers.

Thanks for all you do!

RE: William Lemuel Atkinson
They are listed in the Monroe Cemeteries Record Book as being buried in the Old Notchey Creek Cem. That is the one located behind the church. The newer cem is across the road from the church and is relatively new--first interment in 1968 or 1969
I don't recall seeing that particular marker but it should be there
