I got hook on genealogy after talking to my Grandfather (George E. Deskins) about the "Good Old Days" and how he had a story about everyone and everything. I started by researching only my immediate family but it has escalated to years of research, meeting wonderful people, hearing amazing stories and with much help from other dedicated researchers. After joining FAG it keeps getting better and better.
I hope that all of realize that we all are related and should treat everyone the way we want to be treated.
My main research is on all the Deskin, Deskins and Deskines lines, but I also do Jackson and Matney
This wonderful tool of FAG is out of this world, I want to thank all the fabulous people that have help me in so many ways. I would not of had the opportunity to meet many of my relatives, as well as others if not for FAG. There is no way I can ever thank many of you, researcher before me, people willing to share info as well as photos and their lives.
I would also like to make a point, this is not a genealogical site, but it gives us a wonderful opportunity to connect our relatives, showing really how small our world is, so I hope that some that feel they don't want to transfer for whatever reason and this is your right, perhaps think that MOST of us, do not do it for numbers but because we appreciate the honor of caring for our relatives like I do. When I hear about my relatives even thou I have never met them, it's like knowing them. Hope this makes sense.

Hi Sue,

Why don't you submit your photo of her marker, and then decide which you want to keep since you placed that memorial on "Find A Grave." Let me know if you want me to remove mine. Happy to do so.

Sue, the first picture is from when Grandma Martha's headstone was newer. The second is after I had it re-set due to settling. It is now on a continuous footing with Mom's and Ron', my brother. I referred family in other states to look at the website to see Grandma's after the repair.

RE: Question
Hi Sue,
Normally, I won't contribute anything to a cemetery that is not listed correctly. I hate to add to the problem of inaccuracy. This is the reason I don't post much on find a grave. People just seem to make these things up without ever being to the cemetery. I posted Silas' gravestone picture because someone requested a photo. I can't remember, it may have been you. Anyway, this cemetery is called the Silas Deel Cemetery by most people. It's off of Rt. 605 near Murphy. The cemetery is actually across the Russell Fork River in Dickenson County. It's across the river form the mouth of Little Fox Creek. It's been 10 years since I've been there, but I drive past it frequently.

Bundy's at Dade Memorial Park
Found and added the markers you requested in 2013. Also found several other Bundy's with the ones you requested. Do you want the info to create the memorials then request the photo's and I'll add them or do you want me to create and add them.

RE: Question
Hello Sue,

I'm sorry but unfortunately I have no information about Sarah. My great-great grandfather is William Chaffin but I don't know what relation she is to him?

Your name
Looks familiar to me. I had a brain aneurysm 5 years ago, and stroke, in which I lost my current memory.
So even TV Re-runs are all new to me now!
I was just handed a grave I added to, and did not ask for, and I don't mind, but was going to thank the fella- and found he was deceased. (Bill DeShea)
So I guess that's what findagrave does in that case. As said, it is ok, but the wife of a sibling of my ancestor.
And He had 3 friends, I think- and I noted you were one, and your name seems to strike some bell with me.
I have been at it 38 years now- and to inflame the situation even more, I lost my data base last year.
I CAN'T tELL YOU HOW THAT HURTS! But so far, nothing I can do about it. between my memory, and remodeling done here for the past 3 years- I found two old backups that did not work with this new windows 10, and I had two done by office Depot that I paid for that did not work, and on and on.
Maybe the name I am trying to grasp is Frances Lapp?

B= buried The date of death is Jul 31,1967
You can check this our by going to his page on our web site
www.coffeltdatabase.org
You can also see proof who his mother is by opening the DA2496 under documents. She is buried in Orange Hill also. Thanks for helping us find him. We now have found and posted the burial sites of over 54,000 of those who died in Vietnam.
I too am one of those people who loves genealogy and walking thru cemeteries taking pictures. It was great when Find A Grave gave us a place to put our work.
