Lee W Pynch gravestone is in the same section as his parents but quite a distance away. I'll transfer the memorial to you so you can update the information.

Pynch Family
Hello my name is Debbie and I live in Mankato Minnesota and I happened to run across a badly worn stone in Glenwood Cemetery not far from the location of William and Alice Pynch. From what I can make out the stone is for Lee W. Pynch #16744784 a 4 year old boy who lived between 1888 and 1892. Could he be a son of William & Alice Pynch? If he is let me know and I could transfer him to you.

RE: Ethel Pynch Gift Bible
I do not remember when Grandma Pynch gave this Bible to me but, yes, I still have it. I am impressed by the beautiful calligraphy used by Grandpa Shaw in addressing this to Ethel.

Grandma Pynch, of course, was married to Harold. He passed away on Sept. 21, 1970 and she (Letha) on March 13, 1997. They are buried by the Providence church near Scio, Oregon which was the church the Pynch family attended after moving out from South Dakota. I will try to get you a picture of their headstones and a little paper I wrote up with some family history.

My grandmother was Mattie Mae Hammond(s) Healer. Her father was John H(omer) Hammond(s), her mother was Aurora Etna Turner Elam Hammond(s). Aurora Etna was evidently Mr. Hammond's third wife. As you can tell, there was always a question as to whether it was HAMMOND or HAMMONDS.

Mr. Hammond died when my grandmother was only two years old, so very little was known about her father. Only what has been passed down through family members.

If you feel we might be related in any way or have any information about John H. Hammond, I would love to talk to you. I have lots of info about my grandmother's maternal side of the family, but little about the Hammond side.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
