I became interested in genealogy and finding my roots many years ago. In 2005, I began working for a company that has several cemeteries located near it. Weather permitting, I started going out during my lunch hour and visiting these cemeteries and taking pictures. I then discovered the MI Tombstone Project were I could upload my photos and help others locate their ancestors. |
I've been trying to add my photos onto Find-A-Grave but it is a longer process trying to upload to two different sites. I have faith that I will eventually get it done. Somewhere along the way I also became Michigan's Ingham County Keeper for Find A Grave. If you find one of my photos on MI Tombstone Project, please let me know and I will upload it to FAG.
If you happen to stumble upon any Vance, Kaloz, Torok, Meehan, Cosgriff, Quinlans, Davarns, McVeigh I'd love to hear from you.
Note: If you find a photo that I took click on that photo and you will see my notes. Sometimes you'll get lucky and find other ancestors that you didn't know about based on my comments.
Please read the Help with Find A Grave link before requesting transers. I'm pretty good about fulfilling requests outside of the "direct relatives within four generations" rule. I believe the memorials are in better hands with family and/or a descendant than with myself that is a stranger to the family history. Plus, I have discovered that it is easier for "living" relatives to find you if you are the manager of the memorial. However, if you demand the request versus asking politely and if you don't state your relationship you will not receive the memorial.

I'm sorry, but the number I sent for Harold's father is WRONG. I went to change it, and clicked on the wrong thing and it was SENT. Sorry.
His parents are both in the Foote Cemetery if you want to connect them.

I didn't think that it was you that had it wrong....I figured someone else asked you to do links and they were wrong. At any rate it looks like you changed it and it looks correct. Thank you so much!!
Thank you very much for the transfer of family! Linda

Hi Terri, You're Very Welcome, the pleasure is all mine. Take Care, Chuck Brandon.
|Buddy Leech||RE: Mary Longcor Raplee|
Firstly, I'm Buddy Leech, not Buddys Gram. Find A Grave Memorial# 28822709 was created by Buddys Gram, not me. I just checked and she has taken down her Memorial. Your Memorial is no longer a duplicate. You might want to thank Buddys Gram for being a team player. She created many Memorials in Porters Corners Cemetery that were much later duplicated by others. Yet she has taken hers down.

The record for Kenneth D Rapalee has his father listed as Leland Franklin Rapalee. That is actually his brother. Their father is Elmer Weldon Rapalee, also buried at the Hillside Cemetery in Dundee, Yates, New York. Thanks for all the work that you have done at this Cemetery.
|Kenneth L. Gailey||Margaret Emiline Cunningham Miller|
I added the death certificate here for Margaret and noticed the HEADSTONE surname is SEELEY. Was there another surname on the reverse side? Margaret was married to a Benjamin Miller and John W. Sidel.

I was happy to post the picture, Suesan was a wonderful gal.
