Bio and Links
Bio Photo I began searching for Maiden names of Women in the Family. Years of off and on research made some exciting finds.Names lost of Grandparents Mothers etc on the male side and also on the female side. Names never to be known unless uncovered. Thanks to the new Family I have found and their sharing of the wonderful Price history of our relatives. Thanks to the Journey To Cape Fear By Michael Price (A wonderful work),if not for EEPrice,I would not have the a special thanks to you.South Carolina Price Family,The Price-Collins Family, I say a big thanks to all the help. A special thanks for the help of the Bethel Baptist Church,a cousin there, in MS that led me to a path of My GG Grandfather. All I have to say about the wonderful and exciting lives in my history is WOW. Very impressive for those that grabbed the brass ring and ran with it.Before(2012) I knew nothing of my Paternal side of the lost Family.

RE: Sarah E. Holmes Wasson
Oh, I've been hunting for him for the last 25 years! *lol* I have his first marriage and 2nd marriage records in Talladega Co, AL in the 1830's, But, I do not have any information about him prior to that. No family in the area as far as I can see. No land records, etc. It stinks!

Sarah E. Holmes Wasson
Hello Charlotte!

You asked if Sarah was related to a Josiah Holmes and the answer is no. Sarah's parents are William R. Holmes and Elizabeth W. Lyles. Nowhere in my records is there a Josiah. Lord knows, I wish there was! William R Holmes is one of my mystery ancestors. :)

Wow, you are quick, very nice.
Kathy Price Roys is the cousin I have been chatting with. Happy to get some pics of the area for you. It must sound very odd but I really can't wait to stand at the grave of my Great Grandparents and others to make a sort of connection. Funny how I feel such a need to bond to those I never knew in this world. While I know I really don't have to travel to a cemetery to feel close to deceased family members I think in this case I do. Stay tuned...

Howdy Charlotte,

Sorry for falling off the planet. I very much wanted to reconnect with you. I had planned to go to Blythwood SC to visit the many Price family members buried there but each time something would come up. I have a week off at the end of this month and nothing is going to stop me this time. Was there anyone you wanted a photo of their grave? I just connected with the Granddaughter of my Grandfathers brother back that way via and their DNA process. Feel free to contact me via this format or my work e-mail below. Hope all is well and I look forward to hearing from you again.

I will review his info and make adjustments to data if required.

I think the comment about his parents by the other contributor who sent it to me, may have been based on the 1850 census, not 1860. There was also a note on Ancestry stating those were his grandparents, not parents. As I said, I'll review as I have time to dig deeper.

Thank you.

Wow thank you so much I did notice that in the census records on Ancestry. The Women in our family have a long history of being strong! My mother often talked about my Great Grandmother with high regards of being strong and nothing but admiration and my Mom and Aunt were/ are very Strong women as well as all of the generations of women. It amazing to get that information from you thank you so much for sharing. I don't have a lot of time to dedicate to researching but I refuse to just give up!!!
