I am an amateur genealogist interested in local history. Born and raised in New Jersey, I'm a "Jersey Shore" girl that still loves the beach! My husband and I relocated to North Carolina in 2001 and and we just love our new adopted home. |
I try and photograph local cemeteries; and whenever I add a photo to Find-A-Grave I try and add some sort of biographical information on the person. Having done the research on my own family, I know how helpful any clue can be in tracing ancestors. I welcome any changes or additions to information I've submitted, and will gladly transfer ownership to any family member requesting. Please contact me through the EDIT tab on any memorial I added by using "Suggest a correction or provide additional information".

|DIANN||WAKE BAPTIST CHURCH - GARNER NC|
You added photograph to this cemetery which is very misleading as there is NO cemetery at the church. The cemetery is several miles away.
Should you consider moving picture?

Hello it has been a long time since I did my Baucom and Rand families and my Penny ones too. Hope all is well with you and your family. Respectfully firstname.lastname@example.org #47230178

No, I have no information that I have not already posted. I am reading the OBIT's at this time and that is where the information is coming from.
I have previously been at Pompton Reformed and photographed and posted all existing and legible stones. They may be there and I missed their stone. I am unable at this time to make cemetery visits. Also, I am not related to your family.
Sorry I couldn't be more help/

|Arsenal Rules||Memorial #101112865 Martha Curtis Rand|
Martha Curtis Rand was born on February 22, 1818. She immigrated with her family to Franklin (now Colbert)County Alabama in 1826 where she married to Reece Cook (1814/1878) in 1836 at the age of 18. She died the following year, after only one year of marriage, on July 29, 1813 in Vicksburg, Mississippi, and she was buried in the Cook Cemetery in Culkin, Warren County, Mississippi.
Please make corrections.
Thank you for the transfer. Now see.

I am so sorry that I caused this confusion. After reading your message, I went back to my original research, and you are right. Harriet O. was Tempy Ann's mother. This will teach me not to rely on memory, no matter how sure I am that I am right.

|JVM||Tempy Ann Hollingsworth|
I appreciate all the information that this contains, but I have a correction. Tempy Ann was not Harriet O. Cockrell Hollingsworth's daughter. She was Andrew J. Hollingsworth's second wife's daughter. Harriet died soon after her only child was born, and Andrew married Penelope Cockrell. All the rest of the children are hers.

Thank you so much.

Thanks. I realize that sometimes people take up to 6 months or longer prior to mounting a headstone, and when they order after the passage of time, they provide the engraver with info off the top of their head, verses verifying via official documents. I just belieive hid Dad was grieving and couldn't think properly. Blessings, Sandi :-).
