I grew up on the East Coast. Both of my parents were interested in their ancestors, so growing up I heard more about them than I wanted to. Of course, now that I am interested in preserving the family history for my grandchildren, I have forgotten far too much of it.|
I hope I can retrace a little more of it to leave for my grandchildren.
I know I'm related to Josiah Bartlett and Edmund Freeman on my mother's side - New Hampshire and Massachusetts (Sandwich)
William and Samuel Hambleton; St.Michaels, Maryland on my father's side. I've heard someone in that family actually hung the lanterns in the trees in 1813, that saved the town...
I'd be interested in hearing from anyone who might have information about these people.

|Brittany Markward||Josiah Bartlett|
Hi Nan, my name is Brittany. I just found this site and was very excited to find so many nice things written about Josiah as well as other descendants. I am also his great Granddaughter, eleven generation down the line anyway. I've done a lot of research on him and have been trying to work on putting together a family tree, I saw that a few other descendants had left flowers but if there is any information you might have about the family I would love to see it. Thanks!
|Edward Arnold||Ancestor of Josiah Bartlett|
I do not know how I am related to him personally, but I know that my father is distant cousins with the Bartletts.
