Bio and Links
Bio Photo I live in Northern Indiana and am very interested in the Civil War. One of my hobbies is to visit the graves of Indiana Civil War Soldiers. To date, my dad and I have visited over 1,940 cemeteries and have found the gravesites of over 37,000 Indiana Soldiers, as well as some 9,000 soldiers from states other than Indiana. We have also located the gravesites of over 1,700 Confederate soldiers buried in the Hoosier state. I am also trying to find the grave sites of all of Indiana's Civil War Colonels. I am also interested in the 8th Indiana Infantry, Company I, and the 12th Indiana Infantry. I am also looking for every Chaplain that served in an Indiana Regiment in the Civil War. If you know of any gravesites you think I may have missed, or have some interesting information, don't hesitate to contact me. I am also working on a book about Indiana's soldiers that died during the Civil War. Any help would be appreciated. Also, if you are looking for a Hoosier that served in the civil war send me an e-mail and I'll see if I can help in any way. Currently, I'm also trying to locate every Civil War veteran in Kosciusko County, Indiana, and upload them to Find-A-Grave. I am also a Christian, and look forward to life after the grave. Thanks.

Thank you
You and your dad are awesome. I can tell you have a love for these men that served us,
My husband has several family members from Indiana. We are planning a trip to Indiana in the Spring of 2018, WE will be visiting mainly Kosciusko county .His 3rd great grandfather William Charles Winters 1794-1858. lived there from 1820 until he died. I noticed you are the one who put his name on Find a Grave also.
Thank you for the work you do it is very appreciated. I live in Washington state.

Joseph H Nixon #64672337 re edit 1836 for 1862 birth
Hi Eric, I am not finding any info other than b/d 1862 for Joseph H Nixon. Did he die at age 26 rather than 26 days? There is a James R Nixon, b 1836, buried in Fairview. Any information you have would be welcome. mrs

Eric, it was my pleasure to furnish the photo for you..I notice you are interested in members of the 12th Indiana. Check out memorial 51029219, my updated memorial for Eli M. Williams. Thanks to a collateral descendant I have been able to add more information to his memorial. Feel free to use any of it you wish...

RE: John W Harris
Thanks Eric

I too wish his headstone was still there. It could well have been the one issued by the government, listed in "Headstones Provided for Deceased Union Civil War Veterans". I'm very certain this is his gravesite since he was living in Bremen at the time of his death. Everything else matches as well. Thanks again for your research and contributions. Without the efforts of you and Carole Puntenney and Nancy (?) I would never have found his gravesite.

John Sabine at ANC
Hi,
The photos that were posted for John Sabine at Arlington National were downloaded from the ANC Explorer, which fg does not allow. I've claimed your request for photos of the stone for his son, also named John, and I'll also retake the photos of the stone for the elder John and his wife. I've asked contributor "Gunner" to remove the photos that he posted.

Thank you.
