Hi, I'm Heather. I was born in Mobile, Alabama and have lived all over the South,East and West Texas, Chicago, Hawaii and now Michigan. I have two grown children and two grandchildren. When I was in nursery school, way back in the early 1960s, we were taken on a field trip to the cemetery in Mobile where the yellow fever victims are buried. It was located outside of the old downtown library. It was such a fascinating visit that it created a lifelong passion for cemeteries that I have passed onto my kids. Here is a quote from a song that my son, Jesse shared with me. It's by Dave Matthews: "Grave digger, when you dig my grave, can you make it shallow, so that I can feel the rain?"|

Unfortunately the family is not receptive. I interviewed one of them and later they requested that I take photos of their relatives down from Facebook. I posted the photos here also but figured I leave them up until they tell me to take them down. They were highly upset with me for posting photos of their relatives on Facebook so I granted their wish. I thought it would be nice to memorialize them through photos but they didn't appreciate that. Can't help you any further.

You welcome for the flowers also. I saw his picture on the 'Honoring' when I was doing a search so I clicked on it.

Hi Heather .... thanks for leaving the cruise ship on my wife's memorial. I miss hear lots but do continue to go to cruises with friends.
I looked at some of the sites I use to find obituaries but I didn't have any luck either. It mostly searches major newspapers (www.legacy.com). I also googled his name and didn't have any luck. You might try the funeral home that was used. Sometimes they keep them archived.

|Barbara Lintner||Good for you.|
I hope you do return to college, and I hope one of your subjects will have something to do with "writing" as you are very good. I think you would be an asset to any news paper or other media and they would be very lucky to have you. Good luck.

After reading the tribute you wrote for David, I went back and read all three of the ones you wrote, if you are not a writer you should be. You made each one of the three come to life for me, I know you miss them, my they RIP.
What a wonderful tribute to David Thomas, I can tell he was very special to you. I am sure he was very proud you were his Aunt. "Stars in your Crown".
