|Diana Cromie(Perry)||McIntosh Cemetary|
I was trying to find my infant sisters' grave, Jacqueline Perry and it was indicated on Find a Grave as being in McIntosh Cemetary. We know it as Ohio cemetary and That is where my parents are buried. The two photos added to that gravesite page show two different cemeteries both marked as McIntosh cemetary. The second photo is definitely my parents cemetary However, the first photo (which was posted by you) does not look like the same cemetary. My question is this...where is that photo you posted located? And is that the cemetary that my sisters' gravestone was found? I have been looking for years trying to locate her marker. She was stillborn in 1963 so I was told there was no headstone. Please let me know what you know. Thanks so much.

I had not found this information in Town of Wilton records, so I appreciate you contacting me. I have added the details to the memorials.

Thank you for the correction. Are you related to the Winkle or Furlong family?
|Winkler Marti||RE: Winkle Family|
I believe my Winkle family came from Pa to Ohio. It is speculated that one of my ancestors, along with a wife and 2 yr old son were runaway indentured servants who were listed as property loss at one point. It is said that 3 of my family member's siblings married first cousins from 2 other families. It also seems that these families keep using the same names such as Peter, Henry, Christiana, Katharina and a few others so a family reunion might of been very confusing. Did/Does your wife have either the marrying of cousins or the same names in most families in her family? Thank you. Marti Winkler

Thank you for your reply. D. L.
I just wanted to thank you for your efforts documenting the Lemon Cemetery in Botetourt, Virginia. I'm researching the Lemon side of my family and your work has helped me out.

Other than where she is buried, I have no other info. Sorry.

The index, dated 2012, does not indicate whether there is a marker or not. Clark Cleveland (he is buried near General McPherson) is one I added who died in 1831, so I know they go back at least that far. The cemetery was built around that time. When I added the names to the cemetery, I did so by going backwards from Z to A. I plan to run through the names once again from A to Z to make sure I haven't missed any. I am sure that I have all the McIntosh surnames accounted for.
In Section 3, Lot 579 are: Gertrude, John, Ernest Rose, Harriett Rose, Infant of Jean Louis Rose, and Infant Rose (child of Ernest and Harriett).
There is a Jane Peebles-Persinger buried in Ohio. The place of birth matches but not the date of birth.
