VI. Isaiah Monroe Chapman, Jr., CSA, sixth child of Isaiah Monroe and Prudence Ann Slaughter Chapman, Sr. was born on 29 October 1823. Probably in Baldwin County, Georgia. He married Mary Juliette “Julia” Chatfield (born in March, 1840) daughter of Dr. Buell and Agnes Dark Chatfield.
Isaiah and Julia had nine children: VI-a. Agnes Buell, VI-b. Arbella Juliette “Julia”, VI-c. Mary Lawrence, VI-d. Emma Clifford, VI-e. Wesley Matthew “Matt”, VI-f. John Monroe, VI-g. Lula Katherine, VI-h. George Henry, and VI-i. Clifford Clayton.

It was my pleasure! There are many cemeteries at Fort Gordon. This was my first time to explore nine of those cemeteries. Other volunteers have provided my family with so much valuable info and photos. I believe it's time for me to give back.
