Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been working on researching my own ancestry for many years, and have recently begun to visit local cemeteries. Although my ancestors are not from the area where I live, I am interested in helping others find theirs. I enjoy taking photos of headstones, and adding names to cemeteries that are not already there.

Please feel free to use my headstone/gravesite pictures and information for your own research.

I am following the Player, Hansen, McManigal, Slaughter, Turner, Ward & Bowdish bloodlines, and may be contacting some of you for access to management of memorials directly related to me.

Hi Jan - Turns out memorial number for mother of Debbie Jean Catt was for a memorial that has since been deleted. Have sent another automated edit to change mother's link to memorial 176049959.

Peloquin at Willamette National
I think you have the wrong photo on Mary Irene Peloquin at Willamette National. Her husband Oliver has your correct photo but this wife was Mary W. Peloquin (1913-1993). Mary Irene is in a different section. Could you delete the photo please. Thanks

I know that we all make mistakes, but the wrong headstone is on this memorial. Just thought that I would let you know so that you can make the correction. Many thanks in advance...Betty

Maurice Johns #99452756
I like to read old newspapers at the Library of Congress website. Today, I found a small obituary for Maurice Johns in the Weston Leader (Weston, OR) of 12/8/1916. The image was very faint, so I have transcribed it. I am also attaching a link for your convenience.

Maurice M. Johns, former resident of this city and a pioneer of Umatilla County, died Sunday in Claremont, California, as a result of Bright’s disease, from which he had been a sufferer for many months, reports the Athena Press. The funeral was held at Vancouver, Wash., the home of the family. Mr. Johns, accompanied by his family, went to California several weeks ago with the hope of benefit. He leaves a widow, two sons and a large circle of friends in Umatilla County, Portland and Vancouver.
