Bio and Links
Bio Photo The goal of my FAG entries are to help others searching for their family to find a ancestoral burial and other family information.

The postings made here basically come from two sources. Most of the postings are from extensive family genealogical records. For those with family connections I have posted bio info that focuses on the person and shared some of their available family info.

The balance of the burial postings are for individuals for which I have no ties. These postings are primarily from cemetery censuses with a added focus on veterans. I've also posted memorials for unrelated individuals that shared some of my ancestral surnames.

Hopefully these postings may help you make a connection.

I appreciate the opportunity that Find A Grave gives everyone to learn and share. If you want to review or add to what is already shown, or discuss posting please contact me.

RE: Martha Braun Suggestion
I inputted the dates, etc. but I guess it didn't go through. Sometimes that link just spins and spins. I will have to try and find her again, do you remember if she was in IL? I have been working on an entire cemetery linking families, etc. Thanks.

RE: Chevrolet suggestion
The Calvary one is complete made of brass however. The Mt. Elliot marker is incomplete and granite which I believe is nothing more than a memorial marker next to her husband who may have bought the two plots and had markers placed before her death hoping she would be buried next to him or something like that. It may have been later updated with her death date by a nearby family member.

I understand there may not be two graves for one person, but the one that is filled with the person should have the spouse tied to it.

I have a great-uncle who fought, died and was buried in Mesopotamia (Iraq) 1915 but has a marker in England.

RE: Chevrolet suggestion
We have people here in Niles who knew her personally. She lived in Niles, as did the Dodge Brothers and Montgomery Wards. I have also found several contributors posting duplicate grave sites from obits but not actually getting photos of the markers. I felt this site was for graves not obits. And accuracy is important.

Nancy Mundell
Bio for Samuel Mundell
I am Nancy Mundell, wife of James Mundell, in the bio of my husband's great -great grandfather Samuel, the first mention of his first wife's maiden name is Babb you have it as Rabb, I would appreciate it if you could or would transfer the memorial to me and all excluded pictures of headstone, etc. I appreciate all your vast work, and our family thanks you, if this is not possible we will of course understand, I just have 72 memorials nothing like you have. Thank you so much I don ' thank know how many Mundell or any other of our family members that you do have... Nancy Mundell and family

Samuel Sawyer 15079778
I believe that this is Samuel Sawyer of the IL 77 Inf, Co. D.
The other son who served was Jesse, also IL 77 Inf. Co. D.

Samuel was Lunsford 10 in 1850 and S. 20 in 1860.
Jesse was Isaac 8 in 1850 and Jesse 18 in 1860.
Simeon was 4 in 1850 and simon 14 in 1860.

Lemuel was not mentioned in 1850. Possibly a cousin from NC. Likely the Lemuel d. 2JAN1861; possibly the son killed by a locomotive.

In the 1860, the family is "Lawyer".
