My name is Joan Shoffner|
I have lived all my life in Sidney,Ohio
I have been searching for my Family for 10 years.My Husband would go along with me to the cemetery. I take a lot of tombstone picture and put them on Find a Grave so that other people can find there family member.
*From Find a Grave's Help Page:

you can use my tombstone and personal picture just ask.

Hi Joan ~ Just curious about Rachel Conroy's memorial (#22976629).
Is there a chance that she was w/o G. W. Conroy? She is such a good match to somebody I'm currently researching.
Thanks for your work!! Cheri

Thank you very much for adding the nice photo to William's memorial. Those highly glossed stones are always the toughest to photograph because of the reflections. Thanks again.
P.S. I've thought for some time that you're husband and I might be related. His last name is Shoffner and there are so many variations of my great grandmother's last name of Schnaufer that maybe his is one of them. What do you think? I'd like to hear your thoughts on this one.

You have her as being the child of Delmar Othal Dulaney. If you look for the date of birth for each of them, it doesn't compute. She was his wife, killed in a Trolley accident if I remember correctly. Del was my Great Uncle.

No, you wouldn't need to transfer. I am no relation. I had taken the grave photo of his parents and was linking family to them. So Harold lived near Sidney? My brother works there.

I thought something like this might have happened. This is how people get accused of duplicates. I have learned to screen print my searches to prove to findagrave.com I DID NOT duplicate a memorial. Since I deleted my memorial even though I had it written correctly, I deleted it.
You get the memorial, but it should have been mine for my record count. Since I keyed it correctly.
I always search two different ways one by the name with the birth and death date and the other by the cemetery by the surname. Unfortunately, since the last name was typed incorrectly on your entry I could not have possibly known.

Hi Joan! Thank you for the edit. I had to contact you because I live in Lima, Ohio. My parents were born and raised in Randolph County, West Virginia. I have been there looking for relatives. I have seen your name before, but didnt realize how close we live.
I note that you have taken various grave photos at the Yancey Cemetery in McRreary, KY
Thanks for your great work!!
I wonder how far you live from the cemetery?
I was wondering how difffiuclt it would be to do an inventory of the graves and compare against Findagrave to ensure we have them all listed
and that any without a photo can have a photo taken.

|Heber History||obituary photos|
I have noticed on many of your entries you utilize the obituary photo. I thought this was not permitted by findagrav.com rules.
Have the rules changed?
|Heber History||william cantwill|
when I did my global search I his name did not appear. Did you type it incorrectly and then change it?
I deleted the memorial I created. Many times people make typos and another member adds it correctly. Even if you do search globally for the name and the birth and death date.
I also copy and save my searches to verify I searched globally for the memorial.
My record copy shows the name was not there when I searched so I added it.
|Paula Evans||My Uncle, Duane F. Eckerty - Memorial# 180028940.|
Good Morning, My Uncle, Duane F. Eckerty 1919 - 1988 - Memorial# 180028940. When you get a chance, can I please have gravestones photos of him? I'm not sure in what section/lot number location though. I saw inside of Duane or Dwayne's obituary page years ago, he was buried in at our: East Lawn Cemetery, Urbana, Champaign County, Illinois, USA. Thank-you.
