I am an avid family history buff. The family name I'm researching mainly is Craig who lived in PA, NJ, NE, KS and WISC. But the other family lines are Klein, Sweniger, Pfund and Fowler.

I'm also researching my McGeorge family line. If you feel you are related feel free to contact me.

Good luck on your search.

RE: Royal Arthur McGeorge
Hello, the index card is inside the marker. I will post picture of it disassembled so you can see. No more information on the card. Card is in some very old plastic bag or wrap. The marker looks to have been in the dirt before but doesn't look as if it has been outside a long time. I got this at the Salvation Army Thrift Store in Lincoln, NE a year or two back, just cleaned out my truck and refound it. The Lincoln store gets a lot of it's inventory brought down from Omaha. Is there a possibility that someone marked his grave at some point and took the marker with them to Omaha and it finally got out of family hands after someone passed? I notice Royal's parents and a number of his siblings are interred in Omaha. Thanks. Kevin.

RE: Royal Arthur McGeorge
Hello Jackie, the marker is a generic metal stick in the ground marker and the index card is in it with typing on the card. I believe it was probably put on the grave years after the event, as the last patent date on the marker is 1926. I will post it temporarily on the memorial for Royal so you can see it. I would love to get it to Monowi somehow if it is for him. Let me know what you think. Thanks. Kevin.

Royal Arthur McGeorge
Hello Jackie, I happened on a small metal grave marker that is for a Royal Arthur McGeorge. It says "Born February 11, 1915", "Died May 1, 1916", "Age Fourteen Months" on an index card in the marker. Since I am in Lincoln, Nebraska, I figured it was for the Royal in Monowi, Nebraska. Dates aren't the same as on the memorial, but same general time. Wondered what you thought since you are possibly related to him and verified on his memorial that he is buried in Monowi? I can send a picture or post it temporarily on Royal's memorial. I believe it to be for him and would like to get it back to his resting spot somehow. Thanks. Kevin.

Homer L Ashburn
You posted the grave for Homer Ashburn. Would you be able to connect me with a relative of his? I have a picture of him in his military uniform (chest up in black and white) that were part of my dad's pictures when in ww2 and don't want to toss picture without at least an attempt to pass it on. Thank you!

Yes, we are talking about the same family.

Lena Faye McGeorge was the daughter of Marion Francis McGeorge and Amy Ruth Thayer.

I am looking for some one who can help fill me in on the living descendants of Marion and Amy.

Can you help?

Linda

I am not related but was doing some research on all that have died at the track. Take a look at: http://anengineersaspect.blogspot.it/2012/07/grandstand-collapse-at-1960.html .There are newspaper articles there along with many pictures.

Death is but a dream
Thank you for your contribution!
I photographed a document about a Bert Hoffine earlier today. I think it is the same Bertram Hoffine you posted a memorial for. It was interesting to put a face to a name and learn more about him.

John Ayres - -
Your request for John Ayres, 1964, has no location at the cemetery. The location the office gave me is incorrect - often happens at that place. However, they usually do get it right eventually, but it takes someone to call and say they are family - whether they are or not. 1-800-204-3131 is the toll free number. They know my voice over there, and another call should get proper results. Ayres is NOT in Erica 22. Post the new location or reply to me and I will get the photo.

RE: Rhonda jackson
The only site that I know of that is free would be the Google Newspapers archive.

https://news.google.com/newspapers?hl=en

The Beaver Times
Beaver County Times
Beaver Falls Tribune
Beaver Valley Times
Allegheny Times

The Pittsburgh Gazette
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
The Pittsburgh Press

Those are most of the ones I use for the Pittsburgh/Beaver area that Google has in their archive.
