Nancy Matthews
Andrew Jack Holder

My name is Nancy Matthews (Find A Grave #47153737). My great great grandparents are Bledsoe and Elizabeth Gibson Holder. I have been trying to determine if Andrew Jackson Holder buried in Lawrence Memorial Cemetery is the their son or the son of Thomas and Nancy Jane Gibson Holder. Can you please tell me if you have anything that would point to one or the other?

Thank you for any help.

I will be deleting any and ALL photos from this site if you would like a private copy you can reach me at this due to a problem which was not handled correctly. I have family in the cemeteries that I posted photos of but will be taking them down in 24 hrs.

RE: Richard A. Floyd
Hi, Bill: I'm not quite sure what you're writing about. My gg-grandfather Richard A. Floyd is NOT buried in a common grave. We have known for years exactly which grave is his. Please contact me at so we can discuss further. Also, I've got my Floyd family on - maybe you'd like to see what I have so far. Still a lot of research to do! Your cousin, Bonnie

I truly believe that rings out Yadkin. I wish better records had been kept back then as to where they placed our loved ones after death. I wonder how many are buried out in fields in those hills....

That sounds like Yadkin Cemetery. It's down a dirt road of about 3.5 miles and there is an old country church close by now and further down the road a house or 2. Other than that.......

I promise I'll stop
As I was eating lunch I had a thought. Do you know where your Hales are resting? If not, and I mentioned Janes Cemetery which is Janes Store now, Yadkin where my Ezra is resting is down a dirt road about 3 miles from Janes Cemetery. They could also be resting beside Ezra in Yadkin with no headstone like Ezra. Just some thoughts.
