You posted on another contributor's page about the Arter family from Cairo, IL. I was curious as to where you are from and how you are connected to the Arter Family

Hi, Shirley. Mary Otis is not a relative so I am not requesting a transfer. I just happened to photograph all the stones in the cemetery this summer and am working on putting up memorials for those that didn't have them.
Sure you may, TY for asking.

Thanks Shirley. I'll have to go out there and walk it one day. I am going to assume his grave is with all of the other Crouse family members so I'll look for the tall family stone!

Shirley, do you know where in Grand Junction Cemetery Adam Crouse is buried?

you still have photo requests for the richards.
and they are not listed in Nassau index as being in Valentine cemetery, nor are they in Rens Co. index.

I am looking at the Cemeteries in and around Nassau, New York and Stephentown. I cannot find a listing for either Richards' in Rensselaer County. Any other information could help me find their graves and if in my location i will try to get photos. Clytie

I am interested in knowing more about Lindsey and his wife and children.... I live in the former home of Edward C Young, Marie's father. Marie and her parents graves are close . Would like to know if you are related. Would like to get a cope of Lindsey and Marie's photo if possible. My maiden name is Clark and want to see if I can find a family connection. Thank you

I think there is a SCRIBE gene in every family or no one would know where they came from. In the Bible knowing your roots was so important and you couldn't serve as a priest unless you could prove you came from the priesthood of Aaron, so the Bible is full of name lists and the begats, which used to make my eyes glaze over. However, since I have gotten into family history, I am much more interested in the Bible begats too.
Bev Smith is the one who made the page for Henry Curran, and she is the one who referenced the Civil War. According to his birth year, he would have been too young, so I'm glad you caught that and I'll remove it. Thanks!
