The descendants of the old settlers, those who cleared the land and first upturned the wild sod to the sun, should see that the doings of those early years are fittingly remembered and recorded.
It was once remarked by a great writer that those who take no interest in the deeds of their ancestors are not likely to do anything worthy to be remembered by their descendants.

Please leave flowers or memorials on my memorials, I believe everyone deserves flowers, and I have a great family. Thank you in advance.
A BIG thank you to those who send histories, death notices, obits and links to add to the memorials. They are wonderful additions.
You may use my pictures and information for your family trees but I do like credit. This is all put on findagrave for your family trees because so many people have helped me with mine. Thank you.

Please read Find A Grave's Transfer Requirements before requesting a transfer "THE FIND A GRAVE GUIDELINES FOR TRANSFERRING MEMORIALS ARE: Spouses, Parents, Brothers and Sisters, Children, Grand-children, Grandparents, and Great-grandparents. Please use the "EDIT" tab to ask for a transfer BUT PLEASE do no ask for a transfer that is not within these guidelines and PLEASE STATE YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE DECEASED.
Putting requests on this site you will be ignored, and erased. Ignorance is not bliss it is just embarrassing for you.

For extended family members you can add
Virtual Cemeteries as we have done.

PLEASE USE the "EDIT" TAB ON THE UPPER RIGHT SIDE OF THE MEMORIAL TO SEND CORRECTIONS AND REQUESTS FOR TRANSFERS. Will gladly add any obits and will add links to family members. "
IF A MISTAKE IS FOUND PLEASE EMAIL ME,USING THE EDIT BUTTON ON THE MEMORIAL. This is very important which is why it is CAPITALIZED thank you.

Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out On polished, marble stone.
It reaches out to all who care It is too late to mourn.

You did not know that I exist You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our heart contracts and beat a pulse Entirely not our own.

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled One hundred years ago Spreads out among the ones you left Who would have loved you so.I wonder if you lived and loved,I wonder if you knew That someday I would find this spot, And come to visit you.

Helene Margeurite Flora Reche
I want to let you know that you have 2 Memorials for: Flora Reche # 163161802 1829-1906 and Helene Margeurite Flora Reche # 105967302 1823-1906. The right one is Helene Margeurite Flora Reche, short - Flora Reche. I asked for a request for a sister of Helene Reche's and that is when I noticed the 2 Memorials. If you have any questions please ask. Thank you, Sharon

Hi Barbara,

I just noticed the Siblings, in Bette Haskins family and ALL those listed, were born to Sam, and my Great Aunt Maude TOOTHMAN-Haskins, but you have them as Half Siblings, I just wondered why?

Thanks, and GOD Bless!

Hi Barbara,

Thanks for getting back so promptly. Even with the slight difference in middle name from Sercombe to Seccombe, this has to be my man - my interest in him is his rugby record - so I've provided some information to round out his memorial.

Regards, Tim

Hi Barbara,

In the pre Trumpian days of 2008 you prepared a memorial for the above. It so happens that I am looking for a man of this name and initials who moved from Wales to the USA around 1888. Is there any way you can check that these are one and the same person? My man had middle names John Sercombe.

Regards, Tim

Thank you very much for linking Elmer to his family. Though I'm only indirectly related, it's nice to see a family group complete.

Best regards, Joe
