I am not related to everyone I add. Some memorials are added in the interest of genealogy. |
I am fifth generation Callifornian. I have been doing genealogy for twenty-three years and I am a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Accuracy is very important to me and while great care is taken with transcriptions, mistakes sometimes happen. If you notice an error or have suggestions or additions please email. I will happily transfer memorials using Find A Grave guidelines.
When sending edits, please cite sources. I cannot add information to memorials without proper sources. Thank you.

My edits for William Blake in Santa Rosa cemetery are based on US census from 1890, 1900, 1930, & 1940 as well as my grandmother's letter from her great aunt - Celia Blake McKinney.

|Steven Snider||Mount Hope Cemetery|
I am looking for burials in Mount Hope Cemetery. I noted that Peter Dunmire who was married to my 4th great aunt Nancy McPherrin Hosack is buried in this cemetery. She should be buried next to him I am assuming since she never remarried. She died in 1880. Additionally, I note there is an infant Russell who is the child of C.I. and S. M. Russell. That would be the granddaughter of Peter Dunmire and Nancy McPherrin (Hosack) Dunmire with S. M. Russell being Susannah (or Susan) Maria Dunmire m. to Charles Isaac Russell.There may also be 2 other children of theirs buried in this cemetery who are not listed as in 1900 census records it states she is mother of 6 children with 3 living and in all census records only 3 children are identified meaning 3 probably died as young children or infants. I'm wondering if you know how many burials in this cemetery are completely missing markers. Thank you for any information.

|Jerry Decker||Charles A. Lambert 70467201|
Can you tell me if the Charles A. Lambert 70467201 (1848 - 1898) from your photograph is the same person who was born in Sweden in 1848 and lived in Michigan beginning in 1870 until at least 1883 when the reference was published?
My wife is descended from the referenced Charles Lambert through his daughter Katherine M. Lambert Jarvis 41693910.
|Jonathan Laing||RE: Norris Mathewson|
Just an FYI. My friend and I attempted to locate the cemetery to photograph it. When we requested permission to go on the property, the owner's mother of 90 refused our going on to her land. We then suggested to her son if he could photograph the site and add it to Findagrave, that would be a good workaround. All we can do is hope that he can help us.
Sorry we didn't have much better luck.

I saw your photo request for Norris. I am also related to him indirectly.Norris' parents were Benjamin and Phebe Wickes Mathewson/Matteson and Benjamin's parents Rufus Sweet Matteson and Rhode Andrew. Rufus' parents were James and Hannah Sweet Matteson. My line is from James Matteson and his first wife Enfield Greene so were are cousins. I know the area in Rhode Island but it is 4 hrs from here. I am planning to try to locate this site in the near future as I was not aware of this family tie until just recently. I located Benjamin's brother James Greene Mathewson and his sister Betsey a few years ago and they were buried not far from this site. My friend and I have a site for matteson family ties. It is www.Matteson.us I travel through the north east coast locating family and we update the site as we can. I would be interested in understanding how you tie to Norris. Would you please add this same photo to Anne's family members?
Husband John G #105535881
Daughter Alice #105535879
They were reburials from Calvary so have the wrong death dates (edits have been submitted for dates and plot numbers)

Thank you so much for the extra attention you paid to this plot. Mabel's parents were Joseph and Julina Braley Gould. Supposedly her father, and my ggg-grandfather, is buried in the Moke cemetery in Santa Rosa, but I cannot find any information about it. Are you familiar with the Moke cemetery?

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
You made my day! I appreciate you transferring Henry Grider 80501921 to my care and for making his memorial.
Find A Grave is a great site but only because of people like you.
My Grandmother Was Viola C. Rist daughter of Ida Mae Bickmore. Viola was married to Wilfred D Rist and they are all buried at the Santa Rosa Cemetary. My father was Jack Rist. My mother and sister still live in Healdsburg. I enjoyed your story and the history on James Brewster Fowler as he was my relative. I just started on Ancestry.com and find it so interesting. Thank you for the story and feel free to contact me with any questions or answers as it appears we must be related.
