The descendants of the old settlers, those who cleared the land and first upturned the wild sod to the sun, should see that the doings of those early years are fittingly remembered and recorded.
It was once remarked by a great writer that those who take no interest in the deeds of their ancestors are not likely to do anything worthy to be remembered by their descendants.

Please leave flowers or memorials on my memorials, I believe everyone deserves flowers, and I have a great family. Thank you in advance.
A BIG thank you to those who send histories, death notices, obits and links to add to the memorials. They are wonderful additions.
You may use my pictures and information for your family trees but I do like credit. This is all put on findagrave for your family trees because so many people have helped me with mine. Thank you.

Please read Find A Grave's Transfer Requirements before requesting a transfer "THE FIND A GRAVE GUIDELINES FOR TRANSFERRING MEMORIALS ARE: Spouses, Parents, Brothers and Sisters, Children, Grand-children, Grandparents, and Great-grandparents. Please use the "EDIT" tab to ask for a transfer BUT PLEASE do no ask for a transfer that is not within these guidelines and PLEASE STATE YOUR RELATIONSHIP TO THE DECEASED.
Putting requests on this site you will be ignored, and erased. Ignorance is not bliss it is just embarrassing for you.

For extended family members you can add
Virtual Cemeteries as we have done.

PLEASE USE the "EDIT" TAB ON THE UPPER RIGHT SIDE OF THE MEMORIAL TO SEND CORRECTIONS AND REQUESTS FOR TRANSFERS. Will gladly add any obits and will add links to family members. "
IF A MISTAKE IS FOUND PLEASE EMAIL ME,USING THE EDIT BUTTON ON THE MEMORIAL. This is very important which is why it is CAPITALIZED thank you.

Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out On polished, marble stone.
It reaches out to all who care It is too late to mourn.

You did not know that I exist You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our heart contracts and beat a pulse Entirely not our own.

Dear Ancestor, the place you filled One hundred years ago Spreads out among the ones you left Who would have loved you so.I wonder if you lived and loved,I wonder if you knew That someday I would find this spot, And come to visit you.

Thank you!
I just wanted to say thank you for all the hard work that you have done to help reunite families. I am new to genealogy and through your work I have found literally dozens of my family (Bussineau).

James Quinn
I just posted three photos of the Quinn family grave in Escanaba and a notice popped up that you had requested a photo related to my great uncle James Quinn B: June 4, 1885 in Wisconsin
D: March 10, 1918 in Escanaba City, Delta, Michigan

Anyway, just to let you know that I have posted three different photos that I took in June 2015 when I visited the Quinns' grave. Nancy A. Carter

West Ford River Cemetery
Would you be so kind as to transfer all memorials that you have from the West Ford River cemetery in Michigan over to me? My parents are here and this cemetery is a disaster. There are duplicate and triplicate memorial with incorrect information that I would like to clean up. I can transfer them back, except direct family members, when the records match. Thank you.

Incorrect dates
Please review Memorial# 21253113 for Emma Tate Bushnell. The Find A Grave dates do not match the dates on Emma's tombstone. The Find A Grave dates are the same for Emma & her husband James F Bushnell. Thank You, Robin

Hi Barbara,

As soon as I wrote to you, I realized I gave I incorrect information for my Maternal Grandparents. I don't know what I was thinking. My Grandpa and Grandma Brakebill, Ben and Blanche, are in the care of Montecito Memorial Park, Colton, CA.

Thank you again for my Grandma's memorial.

🌺 Thank You
Dearest Barbara 💗

From the depths of my heart, Thank You so very much for the memorial you created for my precious Grandma, and for transferring her to me. I really can't express in words how thankful I am. I have been searching for her number so I could create a memorial for her. I used to visit Grandma's resting place so often, but I'm no longer in the Redlands area, so I could not visit the cemetery to gather information. My maternal Grandparents are in the same cemetery. My grandma is also buried by one of her daughters, Pauline Herbert Norris, and Grandson, Mike Norris, he is my cousin. Until today, I did not realize Grandma was linked to my Grandpa, her first and only true love. I have been so tearful this morning. I'm so thankful I can now write her story, add pictures, and link her to my Dad, Uncle, and many family members. You are an Angel.

Thank you so-so much,
Lynne

misinformation on memorial
I submitted an edit for Laura Cletha Porter Sutherland # 51697744 concerning the person you have listed as her mother...it is incorrect and needs to be amended....the person you have listed #104075154 is not related to Laura Cletha Porter Sutherland....Laura is my Grandmother and I have her family history first hand. I would like this error corrected please. The edit I submitted was denied and the reason stated was that it would "remove accurate data"...if this is not edited it will leave in place inaccurate data and is extremely misleading to anyone doing research. The woman listed was born and died in North Carolina...my great grandmother was from Virginia and passed almost 40 years before this person did. I would appreciate any help in correcting this...thank you Kandie Barnett Shewmaker Cansler

Capes
Hello! I fulfilled your photo requests but your memorial of Avery Capes is a duplicate of one that was created in 2011. Also, there is a duplicate of Aubrey's memorial, which I have notified the manager about it.

Best regards,

B.J.
