I am a native Californian (second generation) in the Los Angeles area, with family roots here on the West Coast that, via ancestors, stretch back eastward to the far corners of Maine. The bulk of my relatives, as they migrated westward, settled in the midwest, primarily in Missouri, Iowa, Illinois and Colorado. Their offspring continued west and many settled in California.
