Thank you for this memorial!
I'm doing some research on the Lougees who moved to Texas (Almira, her mother and sister(s), her aunt Betsy) and would love to connect with someone who may know more about them. I've sent a message to Jari Dikes but have not yet heard back.
If you're willing to email me, I can be reached at email@example.com
|D'Ann Smith||John Franklin Allen|
I am trying to identify some of my Allen family in this cemetery,
Wondered if you know John Franklin Allen's parents or siblings
|Lisa Cortez||Cruz Cortez|
Could you tell me if there is a headstone or other grave marker for Cruz Cortez in the San Jose Cemetery in Rockdale, Texas? If not, how did you find out he is buried there? He was my husband's great grandfather and he tried to find the grave on a recent trip there. His death certificate indicates the intent to bury him somewhere else.

My mistake ref. duplicate entry for James Phelps. Thanks for the notification. I have deleted my entry.
|Desertthorn||RE: Shelby Duplicates|
Wow, looks as if the lady has duplicated a lot of memorials. She was probably new at it.
BTW, I'm finding a lot of old obits in Newspaper.com and I will forward them if you want them. Let me know.
|Desertthorn||RE: Shelby Duplicates|
LOL, I didn't even look, I thought you had made both of them. Sorry about that.
Thank you for the info, I have added it and the bio to his memorial. Keep up the great work on FG. Slick

Memorial 163374455. Thank you for reply. I gave wrong info for parents. Only her mother is on Find A Grave. Sent edit for her mother Lydia Eaton Crockett who married Oliver P. Corley and is Nannie's father. He d. 1874 Texas but others have entered Washington Co Arkansas that is where he was born. He could be buried in Hood or Johnson Co. TX. Have sent message to Pearl about incorrect links for husband and children. Again appreciate you taking the time to enter her on Find A Grave. I am related to her thru my great-grandmother. All the best, Carol
I do not want to be rude, but someone put my grandmother's obit in the comments with living names mentioned. My parents were mentioned and they are intensely private. Is there a way to delete the obit from the comments? I have no idea why people do this for. I understand obits are published in papers, but I'm pretty sure my family won't appreciate them being put on a national web site. Identity theft is a serious deal and publishing public living names in this sort of media should not be allowed.

|Lynn Albers||Sarah Eliz Derr Bowling & JC Bowling photo|
Hello J Thacker -
Thank you for adding the photo of Sarah Elizabeth Derr Bowling (1851-1927)& John Camillus Bowling (1848-1932) to their Gause, TX Find-a-Grave memorials.
How did you come by this photo? I have never seen this particular image.
I have several other images from Sarah's Derr family in Iowa. Sarah's brother was my gr-grandfather.
I would welcome contact w/ any of the Derr/Bowling descendants. Thank you. L. Elizabeth Albers
