Bio Photo Yes, that Rosebud from "Citizen Kane".
The final utterance of the fictional
Charles Foster Kane
one moment before his death.
What is the final thought
in life of the great man?
What does it mean? Regrets? Lost love?
Something else totally?
See the film if you haven't.

Okay. We're not that Rosebud,
But we do have our own interesting Story to tell.

This is one of my favorite poems
with relevance to passing from this life...

And Death Shall Have No Dominion
BY DYLAN THOMAS

And death shall have no dominion.
Dead men naked they shall be one
With the man in the wind and the west moon;
When their bones are picked clean and the clean bones gone,
They shall have stars at elbow and foot;
Though they go mad they shall be sane,
Though they sink through the sea they shall rise again;
Though lovers be lost love shall not;
And death shall have no dominion.

And death shall have no dominion.
Under the windings of the sea
They lying long shall not die windily;
Twisting on racks when sinews give way,
Strapped to a wheel, yet they shall not break;
Faith in their hands shall snap in two,
And the unicorn evils run them through;
Split all ends up they shan't crack;
And death shall have no dominion.

And death shall have no dominion.
No more may gulls cry at their ears
Or waves break loud on the seashores;
Where blew a flower may a flower no more
Lift its head to the blows of the rain;
Though they be mad and dead as nails,
Heads of the characters hammer through daisies;
Break in the sun till the sun breaks down,
And death shall have no dominion.

BTW... Rosebud is

RE: Joseph and Mary Winkler
You are certainly welcome. The lady in the cemetery office said that she is going to delve more into the list of names we couldn't find in the St. Joseph's Cemetery when she has time. If she comes up with any new or different information, I will let you know.

Joseph and Mary Winkler
Hi,
Last week I went through the entire cemetery at St. Joseph's Church in Fullerton to try to find Joseph and Mary Winkler's gravestone markers. There were several other Winkler graves in the cemetery, but I could not find any stones with these names on them. Today I returned to the cemetery to meet with the woman working in the cemetery office to see if she could help me find Joseph and Mary. Neither of these two Winkler first names were recorded on the old cemetery map, but she said the records for the old cemetery aren't always completely accurate. She helped me walk the old cemetery a second time, but again we could not find Joseph or Mary Winkler. Joseph and Mary Winkler may be buried there, but not marked on the map or recorded under another Winkler family member's name on the cemetery map.

Rosebud,

I removed the photo for Ken.

I agree it is disconcerting. Someone requested a photo of Ken's grave, therefore I took the picture. When the plaque is replaced, I'd be glad to take another.

RE: Great grandparents
Hello,

I have done years worth of work on the Fuka/Jerousek lines. John and Veronica Fuka were my 3rd great-grandparents. I will be fine with transferring Mary (my 2nd great-grandmother Barbara Fuka Jerousek's sister) and her husband. I will be retaining John and Veronica.

Guess this means we are cousins!

Larry and Severena Nerim (Highland Cemetery)
Hello Ken,

I have transferred Larry and Severena Narim per your request. I saw your previous request for it but I didn’t have time to do it when I transferred Ira to you.

It is a pain when you server crashed. I had too many e-mails on it and it went down. I tried to retrieve them but I couldn’t.

Thank you for your concern on my well being. I am doing fine. I just took some time off from working on this site and of course everyday life keeps me from being on it.

You are very welcome. I am glad the memorials that I make are being claimed by family. I am always happy to transfer them to them when I am asked.

Michael……….
