I am Cherie Lynn Knight Jones. I grew up in Birmingham, Alabama. One of the regular family activities while growing up was going to visit the family graves keeping them clean and planting flowers. I learned how to find the ancestors and the cousins, visiting local county records offices, searching through dusty basements and then using phone books and dropping by the local newspaper to find the relies – dead and living. I worked in an Alabama cemetery for five years and then went on to become a journalist and photographer, living in Asia, the Middle East and finally Canada before returning to the United States. Now I research and enjoy family history. As I have found the ancestors and the cousins through the years, more and more I began to see how all people are related. Whether by blood or marriage in ancestry, whether by places or events in history, or whether by a common haplo-group thousands or tens of thousands of years ago we are all connected in life and in death – and on findagrave.|
I have had great pleasure in finding ancestors for my children and theirs, and my husband and immediate family, and all my cousins. The Virtual Cemeteries are for all of yall. You will recognize who is who in the list.
For my children: you see my lines now split into my paternal and my maternal. But you also see Knight that I have made for my Knight Cousins who are not related to Mz Pearl's lines. You will also see your children's additional sides lines. I will also work on splitting the Money ancestors into a paternal and maternal virtual group as well. But you do have a lot here already and as others can be located I will make memorials for them and add them to your virtual groups.

|Fredric Z. Saunders||Sarah Taliaferro Lewis #74303287|
Please read the article
Margaret Amundsen, "Rebutting Direct Evidence with Indirect Evidence: The Identity of Sarah (Taliaferro) Lewis of Virginia", _National Genealogical Society Quarterly_, Volume 87, Number 3, September 1999, pp. 217-240.
This memorial correctly lists that she is the daughter of Robert Taliaferro III. She is not the Sarah who was born 7 June 1727 (listed as 7 July on the memorial). That Sarah is the daughter of Richard Taliaferro and wife Rose as listed in a Bible record. Early Taliaferro genealogies incorrectly listed this Sarah (who married John Lewis) as the same one who was born in 1727, daughter of Richard. Please change the birth date on this memorial. Her exact birth is not known, but as her first child was born 20 Dec. 1752, she was probably born ca. 1730-1734.

No problem. I am not related, just taking some photos at Mount Olivet. Thanks for making the correction.
|Alan Carlton||RE: Kidd and Fisher|
Thanks for the compliment. Most messages that I receive are criticisms.

You're welcome. I do have to give the RIHCC credit for the photo, since other members went into the field and found it... I just posted it for them. :-)

Hi Cherie Lynn
Just to let you know I have just added a (rather poor) photo re the MI for the above.
Unfortunately very few headstones survive at this Churchyard and the few that are there are propped up against Church walls.

Anything you can do about the 'washed out' look of the posted photos? They seem too light. Photo Shop can darken the faces, especially the top photo. Dick looks so 'pasty.' If you like, I can redo the photo and send it back to you.
|Donna Brummett||William Addy|
Cherie, I added a photo of Bill and found out that his ashes were scattered in Helen, GA along with his wife's (Pat Addy) and step son (Charlie Moore).
|Donna Brummett||RE: Addy|
Of course cherish didn't know he was your kin. I'LL send extra info to you and delete my entry. Merry Christmas and a blessed new year
