Bio and Links
Bio Photo As an 11th generation Marylander who grew up knowing nothing of my family history, in the 1990s I developed an active interest in genealogy and finding the final resting places of my ancestors. I find it satisfying to put the pieces of my family together. F.A.G. has helped me do that. But most importantly, I have long believed in the importance of honoring and remembering our ancestors by keeping their names alive. Part of doing so is maintaining their graves and by photographing their markers to make them accessible to future generations. I fondly remember many conversations with my older (now long-gone) relatives and hearing them tell stories of their elders, their lives, and where they came from. Since I've traveled alot I always make time to find some interesting and out-of-the-way cemeteries. I've also taken pictures of several previously unphotographed famous graves, including those of Greta Garbo, composer Edvard Grieg, philanthropists Walter and Leonore Annenberg, Irv Robbins (Baskin & Robbins), and actress (and first wife of Ronald Reagan) Jane Wyman. Several of these graves are not easily accessible and were particularly difficult to photograph. Please feel free to send any additions or corrections either by email or by using the edit tab. And by all means if you are a family member of mine (or think you might be), no matter how distant , please contact me. I'd love to talk and share info. Thanks! Please remember to credit the use of any photographs.

A. Joseph Maskell
Find A Grave
This write up needs to be corrected a.s.a.p. Maskell had been defrocked many years prior to his death. If nothing else, the writing should read Former Roman Catholic Priest. Furthermore, he did not retire (retire from what ? he was no longer a priest.) He fled to Wexford, Ireland to avoid being charged with sexual abuse against minors. He returned to the U.S. a few years later and subsequently suffered a massive stroke and was placed in Stella Maris nursing home for the duration of his life.
For further, factual information, on A. Joseph Maskell watch the documentary The Keepers, on Netflix.
The Fine-A-Grave reads:Roman Catholic Priest in the Baltimore Archdiocese who worked as a guidance counselor and chaplain at Archbishop Keough High School in Baltimore from 1965-1975.
In retirement, Maskell lived at "Stella Maris", a Catholic living and nursing facility in Timonium, MD.
That witness also said she was sexually abused by a policeman at the direction of the priest, the late Father A. Joseph Maskell, who was later defrocked by the Archdiocese of Baltimore after numerous accusations of sexual abuse of students during the 1960s and 1970s.

RE: Campbell photo
Glad to help with the Campbell photos.
I'm not too far from the Beaver Creek Cemetery. I'll try to get there this weekend or next.
I've pretty much "cleaned up" 4 area cemeteries requests, so I'm trying to branch out to other cemeteries anyway.
I'll let you know if I go, and don't find them, otherwise I'll post photos for them.

Druid Ridge and Woodlawn requests
Hi Tom,
I get to Druid Ridge and Woodlawn cemeteries every now and then. If you get locations for your photo requests, I have maps. I avoid going to the offices at each cemetery unless it it a location that I need.

Good luck,
Dan Phelan

RE: Viginia R Hall

If you will tell me the name of the cemetery she is actually buried in with her 2nd husband, I will fix the memorial and "then" I will transfer it to you for management.

I presume you are referring to memorial 46900492 at Wicomico Memorial Park - Salisbury, Wicomico Co., Maryland.

Also, do you have a death date for her - as my memorial only has her birth date on it.
