I spent from 2001 to 2004 photo-documenting the remaining cemeteries within Peoria County, Illinois. In 1850, Peoria County had 153 cemeteries - today only 52 remain, and of these, about 18 are in jeopardy of going from ENDANGERED to DESPOILED.

I am a local historian of Peoria, Illinois, and am attempting a several year project photo-documenting Tazewell and Mason County cemeteries as time and health will allow.
