Your relationship to my father

I recently found your note on Find A Grave website indicating my father, Jason Jasper Stackhouse, was your 3rd cousin, 3 times removed.

My name is Sharon Houseknecht. Jason and Catherine were my foster parents from the time I was 7 months old until I was 8, and then they adopted me--so I spent all of my growing up years with them. As you noted, Guy Richard Stackhouse was their only biological child.

I'm writing to see if you can tell me about your family tree that allowed you to see this connection with my father so I can understand more about his family heritage.

I look forward to hearing from you. My email address is .

Best wishes,
Sharon Houseknecht

If you contact me, I can show you evidence that the parents of OUR John Strong 1796-1864 are not the same John and Lydia Strong linked to this memorial. John and Lydia both lived and died in Northmoreland Twsp., Wyoming Co., PA. John died 20 January 1835. Lydia was enumerated in the 1840 census and was still a recipient of his Revolutionary War pension until November, 1840.

Robert's stone is located in Fairview Cemetery in Delaware County Iowa, not Brown Cemetery in Clayton county. Becky

I've loaded an article to his memorial which may be of interest to you--I can delete this at any time, but I thought you'd enjoy it.

Elder John Strong
Good afternoon,

I am doing research for a friend and his mother's lineage seems to trace back to John Strong. I was wondering what sources you found for his first wife and the name of the ship. I found another source that listed the ship as "Mary and John". Thank you. Samantha

Abigail Babcock
Just an FYI, Abigail Babcock's maiden name was COCK. I am a descendant on her side as her grandfather was my 5th gr grandfather. Unclear where you come into the line. There were several Cox families in the Scipio and Fleming area and a Sarah Cock married Israel Mosher in 1826 but that was from a different family. Would like to know your line, I have all the family members of Abigail Cock including her mother and father. My 5th gr grandfather died at Abigail's home(he would be her grandfather).

Willing to share info if interested email

Mitchell Grissett
M'lea Grissett
Hi Lyn:

You are doing a fine job. Please keep up the good work.
I have looked at some of the grave sites that you have
entered and you do good work.

After reading the obituary of Royce Grissett, entered by Jerry Van Herrin, I noticed that M'lea Grissett (one of your entries) is his daughter.

You might like to add that tidbit to her page to further help future searchers. But no matter what you do, keep up the good work. You and your work are appreciated by many of us out here.

John M. Wells FAG # 11178690
I have requested 2 times since February that you remove him from Joseph Highland Wells Find A Grave#79886590.
HE IS NOT Joseph Highland Wells son. Joseph Wells did have a son named John, however no middle initial, death date or burial place has been found.
If you would check the tombstone that you have on John M Wells page and checked Daniel Frank Wells page you would have surely seen that he was connected to DANIEL FRANK WELLS and not my 2nd great grandfather Joseph Highland Wells. Or if you had done any research.

I would like to have my Memorial Pages accurate.

Would you kindly remove him from my page for Joseph Highland Wells.
