|THE URGENCY: Acid rain and mold are devastating inscriptions on cemetery memorials! If we don't photographically record memorials before they become illegible, the final resting places of these loved ones will be lost forever!|
I believe that after a few generations, everyone is basically forgotten. Our graves sit there deteriorating without a care. I especially feel for childless couples or infants and children, they are forgotten sooner. I like this website, because generation after generation, our family will be able to come here, and see our graves, and with a little love and care can see our faces also.
Tracing our family lineage becomes so much easier for future generations. This site is an excellent resource for genealogist!
Please take up-close, careful shots of photos on graves! Many may never be seen again, after you leave, as they are quickly disappearing. A family may have no other photo, and may not even know that one existed, if you pass it by.
I'm ready and willing to edit or cancel my entries so don't hesitate to send me your corrections or requests.

You sent me a message asking to transfer the Swifts to your care. They are also my gggggrandparents. I am willing to share information but worked too hard to find their graves to transfer them to someone else. In this Swift family I have proven that they are Mayflower Descendants, as am I. If this is your family you are also a Mayflower Descendant. Only a die hard genealogist cares but it is very interesting to trace the family tree and join the society.

At this time they have not buried June's ashes. They plan on laying her to rest at the Hartman Cemetery and I will update when that is done. Thanks, Nancy

If you call Acacia Park Cemetery and Mausoleum at 773-625-7800 and:
1. Ask if your photo request person has a headstone / grave marker.
2. If there is a headstone / grave marker ask for the section, block, lot and grave number.
3. If you send that information to me, Susan (#48964989) I will go there and fulfill your photo request. Of course any other Find A Grave volunteer can also fulfill your request if you then add the headstone location information to your photo request page.

Hi. I just spoke to the township clerk about Denton Cemetery. They don't have a listing for Julia Roulo. I will double-check when I get a copy of the records. Any chance she's under a married or maiden name?

I fulfilled this photo request, it was also requested by Row Walker. My photo only removed the request by Row Walker.

I agree whole heartedly with your philosophy. I believe in taking the very best photos possible of the graves and grave markers, both as a tribute to the deceased and their families. My family has searched and found graves of long lost loved ones in distant cemeteries that we will never visit. I love this site! When the memorial page is well done with photos and remembrances, it is like visiting with your loved one all over again!
