Vincent Anderson was born in Mtn. Home, Arkansas, and raised on the Arkansas/Missouri Stateline in Ozark County, Missouri. He served in the U. S. Air Force, stationed at Little Rock AFB, and was an instructor in an altitude chamber.

In 2004 Vincent graduated with a Bachelor of Biblical Arts. In 2006 Vincent graduated from Arkansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Education with certification in Grades 4th – 8th in Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, and a Pre-AP Certification in Mathematics. He is certified as an EAST Facilitator in conjunction with the Arkansas Department of Education. In 2007, Vincent was named Arkansas State University – Mtn. Home Alumni of the Year. In 2013, his first book, Bald Knobbers: Chronicles of Vigilante Justice, was released by the History Press in Charleston, South Carolina. In 2016, Vincent was appointed by Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson to serve on the Prairie Grove Battlefield State Park Advisory Commission near Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Vincent is a former columnist of weekly "Looking Back in History" column in The Baxter Bulletin, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He has published articles for newspapers & historical quarterlies in Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, and South Carolina. He also has worked as a historic consultant for the Travel Channel and Discovery Channel. Vincent has also consulted and appeared on the SyFy Channel & Animal Planet.

Vincent is currently employed at the Donald W. Reynolds Library in Mountain Home, AR, and works as the Historian, Reference Librarian & Teacher. He has served as an historical Ozarks tour guide for the Mtn. Home Chamber of Commerce, Local Banks, and the 2016 Bassmaster Elite. He served on the Board of Directors for the Arkansas Genealogical Society as the Chair of Education for three years. He is the past president of the Baxter County Genealogical & Historical Society. Vincent is a guest lecturer & teacher on the History of the Ozarks & Genealogy to civic clubs and public schools.

He lives in Baxter County, Arkansas, and enjoys researching the Ozark region and writing a blog on the Internet entitled, Ozarks' History. Vincent completed his Graduate Degree in American History from American Military University in Charles Town, West Virginia.
