Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was active as a volunteer for Find A Grave for many years, but have now scaled back on that. I enjoy helping others and this website is a great resource for genealogists and others looking for family members.

I am always happy to make corrections and add links when requested through the memorial edit tool.

You have my permission to copy my photos from Find A Grave and use them on other sites. Attribution is appreciated, but not necessary.

Thank you Lois for all the information and the photo. I'm sad that there is not a marker but glad to know where he is located. Yes, Frank James Laws is the grandson of John Laws.

Thanks so much for trying to find a grave marker for her. The fact that there is none, but cemetery documents support the fact that she is buried there, is just as important as a photo of her headstone.

RE: James Sarver
You're welcome for the photos, Lois, from Maple Grove of James and Dorothy. But there is more to the story...the surname Burgoon. You probably noticed it at the bottom of her info box on the headstone.
Dorothy remarried after the death of James. She married a man by the name of Arden Burgoon. He is interred at McComb Union Cemetery, McComb, Ohio. (#39662069) is his memorial page number. Someone in the family purchased a memorial marker for Dorothy Burgoon and placed it in McComb Union Cemetery. Someone made her a page on F-A-G. (#39663014) If you look at the marker posted on her first page, you will see that it is engraved on the headstone, that Dorothy is buried in Maple Grove. I made Dorothy a memorial page on F-A-G for the correct cemetery and posted the photos. That made her have two pages. But I felt that was the correct way to handle this matter after reading the guidelines. I contacted the manager of the first page and asked them to contact F-A-G, so that they would make her page an cenotaph. Therefore no edits would be sent to that page. All edits would go to the page I made because that is where she is buried.
Time will tell on this one. I've never ran across something like this. My hope is that I handled it correctly. I'll wait ten days and keep checking to see if there is any change or movement by F-A-G.
I wanted you to know the situation.

Thank you for your understanding and patience with this matter.

Yes picture cannot be read, too far away. It is old picture and does not have death date on it.

Oops!
Never mind! I should read more carefully. Though the stone for Eliza Kornhaus is worn, it is still legible!
