I no longer make changes, additions, transfers from messages left on my contributor page. Please follow FindAGrave procedures by using the Edit tab on the memorial page to request changes, additions, request transfers, etc.|
Thank you for following FindAGrave procedures.
Please ask permission before posting my personal family photographs, photographs I have taken of grave stones or biographical material I have written from my memorial pages on this site to Ancestry.com or any other website or personal webpages.
I follow FindAGrave guidelines for transfers of memorials:
Second, Transfer requests will be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Please see FindAGrave Frequently Asked questions for more information:
How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?
First, Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested If you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.
Many thanks to everyone who has contributed information and photos for my memorials.

Thanks for clearing that up and for creating a new memorial for him at Rockland. He has two homes now.
Have a great day!!

It was from the cemetery records for their son, Henry Walter "Harry" Haller, taken from Evangelical Lutheran death records; listed his parents as Isaac Henry Jacob Haller and Mary Lavenia Baer.

This was posted to me rather than you - but a happy accident as the Mary and I are actually related 😊

Thank you for the offer to transfer the memorial of my great grandfather to me. In a different time I would have loved to do that. However, at 77, I feel it needs to be kept up to date by some younger person. I have put all of my data on Ancestry, so that it can be viewed by others. The story of the burning of the courthouse is not completely true. There WAS a fire in 1916 that burned the District Clerk's records, but an earlier judge in the county had seen the need for a fireproof vault in the County Clerk's office. He had it built and those records survived. Until then the judge had been ostracized for spending the money on the vault. I lived in Paris for many years and spent many hours in the County Clerk's office in it's attic transcribing old records that went back to the beginning of the organization of the county, about 1844. The Lamar County Genealogical Society has the books that I transcribed for sale in the genealogy library.

Evidently I clicked on something I didn't mean too. John Waters was my grandfather and I know his mother was Louise Birch Waters. Maybe I meant to link my mother, Joan Doerscher, which I see you have done. So, you can disregard my edit. Thank you for double checking on it.
