Bio and Links
Bio Photo My Father and I are avid family history lovers. My Father began his research when he was about 10 years old with his mother, aunts, and grand mother, my great grandmother. He became the "Wise Old Historian" for our family. Seeming never to stop his research even though he has been slowed down due to his health. I started when I was about 10 yrs old helping my Father. Both of us take pictures of graves and all the research. We are currently researching the following lines from SC/NC/GA/TN/VA. This is only a few of the ones we are working on.
Hunt, Holden,Bllingsley,Nortons, Burrell, Eubanks,Mathis, Raines, Reese,Batson, Millican, Underwood, Joseph, Bowers, Williams, Jenkins, Phillips, Nave, Wilson, Treadway, and a lot more.
I was working on an ongoing paper for school that I intend to carry on to college are the Army. An update on my status is that I am currently in the Army, stationed at Fort Bliss, Texas near El Paso. Maybe I'll have time to research my TX "Hunt" family in my spare time. Any help on any of these lines would be appreciate.

The picture I've added is of my Father taken in 1990 shortly before I was born and before his stroke in 1993.

If you have information to share I would gladly love to here from you. If any information is incorrect please leave me a message or email me direct, with findagrave in subject line. I am currently looking for "Old" photo's of any of our family, along with histories.

Another love that I have is pre 1970 family recipes from the families. I have a collection of over 150 now and hope to add more before I graduate this year. If would like to send me one I would gladly give you credit. I have tried a good many of the ones I have now and love the way they cooked in the "OLD" days.

Due to my time in the Army and preparing to get ready to go to West Point my father will be handling our research as much as possible. He is retoring his family files from a older computor and may e slow in answering any request, please be patient with him.
Thanks Ed Jr.

Pvt. John Nelson Farmer
Trying to find out information about John Nelson Farmer (he was my great-great grandfather) and saw that you left the following message on his Find-A-Grave page:

Rest In Peace. Only God, You, Jack, and his wife knows the reason he wanted to Kill You along with his wife. May God have Mercy on Your Soul.

B. 22 Sep 1842
D. 26 May 1910

Can you explain what this means?

Thanks so much!

RE: Plura Hunt Mathis
I just got your message. I have talked to my mother on the phone and she seemed to be really happy to have foound me. Jane, her daughter and my sister, came to SC to visit me for a few years. It was a great visit. I hope to be able to go to Colrado this year to see them. They live in Colarado Springs. I noticed that you have the name Batson listed. I found one of my relatives who live in Marion, SC where I grew up and never knew we were related. I was just looking on one day and looked up his father Paul Batson who was the Baptist minister for years. He had 3 children, Paul, John and Mary Lynn. Paul lives in Greenville SC and has a tax business there. We have emailed ech other several times. My daughter Holly is a whiz at tbis stuff and now she has found that we had 2 ancestors in Salem,MA Who were both accused of being witches and were hung 1692-1693,during the Salem Witch Trials. They were Rebecca Towne Nurse and her sister Mary towne. They are on the internet and the book, play "The Crucible" was based on this. It is really interesting. I think Rebecca was my 9th great grandmother. Now that was spooky. Holly found it while looking for some tbat may have come over on the Mayflower. Instead she found this. Anyway I will try to call you when we can really talk, as I have lots of questions. Thanks for contacting me.. Remind me to tell you what else we have found. I will save the best for last. Check out my tree, The Mathis Tree, owner is drbroome or just look for my birth name Linda Joy Mathis. Hope to talk to you soon. Susan

RE: Brenda Joyce Giles
Use the edit tab on upper right side of memorial and the make a suggestion option to request a transfer so that I receive the correct links. This procedure needs to be followed on all transfer requests.

Thanks, Effie
