I live in Spokane, so I don't have access to KS, IL, or IN - just ancestral bones - but I have been to visit those places.

I am also the Sexton for Evergreen Cemetery in Spokane.

RE: Charles Fisher - Evergreen
I don't. I will look next time I am downtown at the Library. It was in the Genealogical section, above where you come into the library.

RE: Charles Fisher - Evergreen
Hi, my proof is NOT the obit.
At the main branch of SPL I found a book that lists all of the Spokane area men who served in The Civil War, WWI & II, Spanish - American War, & The Indian Wars.
That is my source for the Edit.

Abbie Grace Speer Lee
looking for information about Abbie's brother in law Vernon R Lee (brother of Lance D Lee, Abbie's husband). Vernon is the maternal grandfather of some of my cousins and I can't find any records for him after a passenger list taking him to Hawaii a couple weeks before the bombing of Pearl Harbor.

RE: Walter Gilkey
Hi, sorry for the delay, my computer broke down.

I have Walter Leroy and Gertrude on Ancestry.

Looks like they were grandchildren of Walter, but have no proof yet.

RE: Rbt Atkinson
Hi Paul, Thank you very much for that.

I had to do a little bit of digging to be sure I had the correct cemetery. The record I have names it as Hillyard-Masonic but obviously the name was changed to Evergreen. Thanks for your work there. Sue

In am researching family history & see that the Grandson of my ancestral uncle is buried in Evergreen Cemetery (formerly Masonic ) This young man was living in the WA.State Custodial School at Medicine Lake, Spokane. His Grandfather, James George Moore, wrote a diary of his Civil War service, which is in the Historical Library in Madison, WI. I was happy to see that several Civil War veterans are also buried there. I am a retired History teacher & very interested in History. My question concerns if this young man has a tombstone. My son lives in Squamish & I plan to visit there this year. Thank You for any information you can give me. Carol J. Gammon

RE: Judith Dawson
I looked through the Evergreen photos and can only say that the headstone for Judith Dawson is among a larger group of similar stones. They look like small cement blocks. The photo immediately after the one of Judith belongs to Mary Carrol Atkinson. I usually try to take photos row by row, but not sure how it was at Evergreen.
Hope this helps,
Mary Ellis

RE: Judith Dawson
Sorry, I can't tell the location: I was walking row by row taking the photos. I still have the photos I took and will look at them to see if I can remember where the headstone is.
