RE: Dan & Charles Somers ~
Diane, At this time I have no other information. This is an old cemetery and I'm not a family member. I happened upon this cemetery looking for my "Miles" relatives' grave sites and noted that the cemetery had not been registered with Find A Grave or photographed. So while there, I photographed all of the graves, created Find A Grave records for them and posted the pictures. The next time I'm down in Maryland, I will endeavor to get a better photograph and decipher the information on the stone -- maybe that will reveal something additional. The lighting was not optimal the day I was there. Susie

RE: Charles W. & Dan T. Somers
Hi Diane - I've posted a picture at Charles W Somers' Find A Grave record 142166544. It's not very readable. Next time I'm down there I will try for a better shot. Both Dan and Charles' names are on the joint headstone with Dan being on the left and Charles on the right side of it. Do you have any idea where their parents might be buried? Susie

Cynthia Zane Martine
Linda Friant Zane
Hello Diane, I was going through my dad's pictures and found one of George William Zane, my great grandfather, with his mom, Linda Friant Zane. Just wanted to share it. Best wishes.

There are two memorials for her, and you manage both! I'll go ahead and ask admins to merge them.

Issac Kauffman 1685-1750

I noticed that Raymond Miller left virtual flowers at the grave/find a grave website for Issac Kauffman 1685-1750. I have recently unloaded my DNA to GEDmatch and it appears that Issac may be my 7th GGF and Raymond lists him as his 6th GGF

I would like to connect to find out more as this appears to connect to a brickwall of mine for my paternal GGF family information as he changed his name!

THank you kindly

I am researching Maria Catharina Feutoldern and find she is your husband's 7th great grandmother. She is my 8th and I would like to know the blood- line.

Pvt. George W. Swartz, 10th VA
Greetings! While researching the 29th Pennsylvania at Gettysburg I came upon an article in the National Tribune (a Civil War veterans newspaper)regarding your ancestor. In the darkness of July 2, 1863 on Culp's Hill at Gettysburg he mistook Pvt. George E. Brown, 29th PA as a comrade, and gave him a musket. Brown was returning to his regiment after taking a mortally wounded comrade to a field hospital. I'd be more than happy to share my research with you if interested. Do you have any photos or information about Pvt. Swartz to share? Best wishes, Scott

RE: Samuel Somers
You might want to send Olive Branch an email.
She specializes in Crisfield cemeteries, taking as many tombstone pictures as possible and has set up many of the Crisfield Memorials.
She has been very helpful to me.
You can locate her by going into some of the Crisfield cemeteries and hunt around some of the Memorials until you find one she has set up.
When you click on Olive Branch you will be on her page and you can then send her an email.

Samuel Somers
I would suggest contacting the Maryland State Archives and requesting Samuel Somers' Will and/or Inventory (if they exist). Give them all the information you have to better assist them.
I like Wills because they usually name the living children and wife at the time the Will was written.
There will no doubt be a fee for this. As an example, New Jersey charges $20 the last I knew.
