Photo of Sarah Haddock's tombstone
Hi...when I took the photo, I noticed she is located in a bigger plot surrounded by the last name Seals. If you would like, I could send you those photos as well:)

RE: McMullan Family - Northview Cemetery
I also have pictures of the family group so you can see how they lie in the cemetery in relation to each other. As I recall there are a couple of groups of McMullans. If you'd like these pictures, please let me know if I should send them to you or put them on the memorials.

RE: William Joseph Millan - Saint Patrick's Cemetery
Hi Charla,

Thank you for your kind words. Please ask your friends if they would like me to try to get a death certificate for William Millan from the Provincial Registry. There is a nominal fee but I would be happy to cover that.

William Joseph Millan - Saint Patrick's Cemetery
Hi Charla, you may not have noticed but the bio section of the memorial included the small amount of info provided in the obit. He died at home at age 50 years. I hope that helps. Yvonne (Bear Hugs)

RE: William Joseph Millan - Saint Patrick's Cemetery
Hi Charla,
Thank you for your kind words. I've had lots of help from others, so always nice to be able to help someone else.
Most of the 'mining accident' records would most likely be found in newspaper archives. In Lethbridge the newspaper archives that I am aware of are via the University of Lethbridge or Lethbridge Public Libraries and the Galt Museum.
I'll keep looking at my end to see if I can find anything - perhaps an obituary was placed in the Lethbridge Herald or Lethbridge news. The funeral homes at the time are still in existence today so they may have something as well. Martin Brothers Funeral Home & Chapel. Most of the mines are now closed so I don't know where those records would be. The City of Lethbridge may be able to provide further information. Saint Patrick's Cemetery is one of the oldest cemeteries in our area. The records used to be with the St Patrick's church but unfortunately, there was a fire in the 1950's whereby most of the records were destroyed. Over the years various sources have been working on rebuiling the database-when I contacted the City to confirm his plot/interment they were able to provide it to me so perhaps they have more information they could share with you.
I did find his 1st wife Catherine and sent a link to the Contributor of her record to link her to William.
If I find anything else I'll be sure to send information your way.

RE: William Joseph Millan - Saint Patrick's Cemetery
You're very welcome - glad I could help confirm his location - unfortunate that there wasn't a marker.

How wonderful that you are helping the family - what a great photo of the couple. How tragic it was for the daughter with the events the subsequently occurred.

Miners - yes there are several miners in this cemetery & all through Southern Alberta during that era. On the main cemetery page for both Saint Patrick's & Mountain View cemeteries in Lethbridge there are photos honouring miners that were killed in mine explosions - unfortunately, quite common at that time.

The Crowsnest Pass is probably best known for mining.

Do you think he perished in a mining accident?

Photo request W Millan
Hello - I've 'claimed' your photo request at the St Patrick's cemetery in Lethbridge - I suspect that there isn't a marker - if that is the case - would you like a 'plot view'? I can check the cemetery once the rain has subsided & the location dries up a bit.
- thanks Linda

RE: Buddie Thomasson - Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery
You are welcome. I am sorry it's not a better photo. The marker is actually very dark and hard to read. I lightened the photo so it could be read a little easier.
