Bio

My interest in my family's genealogy began with my helping my Dad collect information many years ago the best way we could in those days. I was born and raised in southeast Tennessee and thought that was where my family was, little did I know that I had a lot to learn. I listened to stories from various family members and collected information from things written down and passed on through my family. With the maturity of genealogy on the internet, life has become somewhat easier and very fascinating being able to correspond with cousins many times removed. I have found the Find A Grave site one of the most informative means of feeling closer to my ancestors and feel that those individuals that contribute are as trustworthy as can be found. We all make mistakes in collecting and sharing information, but, I have found this site to have a maturity about it that I trust and respect. I thank all for their many hours of hard work and expense. For me, the most important aspect of this site is for all the living to be able to locate their families of the past. I truly enjoy seeing all the children linked back once again with their parents and their parents and their parents and their parents, on up the line. It saddens me that my Dad passed away before he could enjoy all this information collected here. If any information posted by me is in any way incorrect, please inform me and I will make any suitable corrections. Most of the memorials that I attempt to maintain are my family members.
