Bio Photo 'The not suffer the Living to pass. The way is shut! It was made by those who are dead.....and the Dead keep it! The shut.'

I have been researching my family lines since 2000 and have accumulated hundreds of pictures from dozens of cemeteries. I hope by sharing these photos with/on 'Find A Grave' it will help others re-discover their family and their heritage. I will make an effort to display only proved data with sources; and if any mistakes are found, feel free to contact me so we can make the appropriate corrections.

Gregory Schaefer
Locating Parents Information
Hi Mr. Allison,
My name is Gregory Schaefer. My great-grandmother is Mary Margaret Allison Conant. I found information on her in "find a grave". I am interested in completing a tree leading back to Thomas Allanson (Allison). Do you have information to help with this lineage? I do not know her parents, but that may assist if I had their information. Thanks for any help !!

President William McKinley
Hi George,

I was wondering if there was any connection with our Allison Family Line with that of U.S. president William McKinley. His mother's maiden name was Nancy Campbell Allison (1809 - 1897). Her biography can be found on Wikitree but I can't find any connections to our families, as far as I can tell. What do you think?

Clark Allison #175121930
Hi George,

I called Ohio this morning to confirm that Clark is buried in Grandview. I would like to write up this story for our DAR newsletter as a World War I commemoration. Do you know if there are any pictures of this young man in the family?

RE: Fannie Susan Allison - Byran
Hi George and Happy New Year to you too.

You probably have a good point about Fannie's name. I found the name of 'Francis' in the 1880 US Census. Other than that all other documents say that she is 'Fannie'; it's on her gravestone, and 'Fannie' is also her mother's name. It was more an assumption on my part that 'Francis' may have been her 'christened name'.

No problem, I can correct that.

Fannie and Alexander Bryan (a Civil War veteran) had several children, one of them was David H Bryan (1870-1937) who was my great-grandfather. He grew up in East Liverpool and was a salesman of fine 'Castleton Chinaware'. He retired in Los Angeles and is bured in Whittier, CA. As far as I can find out, he was the only Bryan who settled on the West Coast - which may help explain why I was born in L.A.

Look like we're distant cousins :-)
