Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a N.C. native and have deep family roots in Central and Southeastern parts of this state. I have inherited an interest in geneology and grave marker location from older family members, particularly my father. This is my contribution in a small way to remember those in our family who were here before us, and helping those who come after us. Knowing where you came from is an important piece of knowing who you are. I am interested in the surnames Robbins, Barnes, Hall, Prevatte, Atkinson, and Stephenson. I also work on my husband's family from Southern Indiana with surnames of Arnold, Damon, Adamson and Peper. I currently live in Holly Springs, NC and my recent project has been photographing stones in our town cemetery and updating the listings in that cemetery here on Find A Grave. If you have a family member in Holly Springs Town Cemetery and I created your loved one's online memorial, please do not hesitate to contact me. If there is any information you would like added, or if you would like for me to transfer the memorial, I would be honored to oblige.

Pvt. Lewis

Couldn't help but notice we are both the 5th great Grandson and Great grand daughter of this man.

I'm compiling my family history as far back as I can and I am interested in the revolutionary war era, and the lewis bloodline in particular.

I was wondering if you had any information passed down through your family or that you may of come across that may be worth noting?

I am a direct descendant of the Lewis's on my Dad's side with Sarah Emily Lewis being my Great-Great Grandmother (She married Nazereth Jenkins, a NC diplomat). My family had very deep ties tp this

Thanks in advanced!

Also if you happen to be more closely related down the family tree, I have some info on the Lewis and Jenkins bloodline during the Civil War era. Many of them served.

monument of Col. John D. Hawkins, Oakwood Cemetery, Raleigh, Wake Co., NC
I love the pictures of the tall monument for the Hawkins family. Would it be possible for you to list each side of the monument, and the names on each side? I seem to have 3 sides, and am missing the fourth. Thanks!

I'll be very interested to see what you find. I spent a couple of weeks in the area awhile back, but don't recall seeing this one. Could be the one I'm looking for. Could also be the "Passmore" or the "Thornton" Cemetery, known to be in the area somewhere.

RE: Old Hunter Family Cemetery
The only clue I have seen is "off Old Holly Springs Rd to Apex." Not a lot of help, I know.

RE: James Winfred Bundy
Thank you so very much for looking. I hoped to get up to Raliegh and take a look myself. I also would have wanted to contact someone at the City to check burial records. As you are probably aware, The LouAlice Bundy graves is that of James Winford's mother.

James Winfred Bundy
I want to thank you for looking for his grave. I have a copy of his ddeath certificate that indicates he was to be buried in the City Cemetary of Raliegh, NC. I do not know where to go from here. I also know that he was born and raised in the Raliegh area. Does the Cemetery have any records for who is where?? Or even the City Of Raliegh's records??

Thank you.

Byrd Family
Thank you for the memorial you posted for Rev. William Byrd. I am a Byrd family researcher myself. You stated that Rev. Byrd was the son of William and Nancy Byrd. Do you have documentation to support this? Rev. Byrd's parentage has always been questionable in sources I've seen. Also, do you know how his father William ties in to the other Byrds of the area? Any information you could provide would be helpful.
