I've recently retired and became interested in my family history. My Nelson family originates from Caldwell County, North Carolina. I decend from Hugh Nelson my ggg grandfather. The find a grave program has been invaluable in assisting me in my research. The volunteers are fabulous.

How are you related to James? He is my GGGrandfather. His son Edgar was my ggrandfather. I've been to James' grave many times in Johnson City Tn which is near where I lived at one time. I have no idea where his wives are buried. They were Morgan sisters from Chatham County N.C.

Hi Mike
John Nelson was my uncle. He died less than two months after my father died, Albert Ray Nelson.

David Daniel Smith
My name is Bill Hately and I live in Denver. I am wondering how you are connected to David Daniel Smith (1848-1920) b. in TN and d. in Colorado? My ancestors came from Carter County, TN and Watauga County, NC to CO just after the Civil War. Many male ancestors fought with the 13th TN Cavalry, a Union unit. My family names include Hartley, Smith, Greene, Church and McCandless (or McCanles). I can be reached at Thanks.

Farthing Brown
Hello Mike, I would like to transfer management of the memorials for Harriet Newell Farthing Brown & her husband Maj James Brown to you, as I have no family connection to either. If I read correctly that these persons are related to you and you would be willing to assume management, please let me know. Thanks and have great day!
