Blessed are the great grandmothers, who hoarded newspaper clippings and old letters, for they tell the story of their time.

Blessed are all the grandfathers who filed every legal document, for this provides proof.

Blessed are grandmothers who preserve family Bibles and diaries, for this is our heritage.

Blessed are father who elect officials that answer letter of inquiry, for some, this is their only link to the past.

Blessed are mothers who relate family traditions and legends to the family, for one of her children will surely remember.

Blessed are the relatives who fill in family sheets with extra data, for them we owe the family history.

Blessed is any family whose members strive for the preservation of records, for theirs is a labour of love.

Blessed are the children who will never say, "Grandma, you have told that old story twice today."

anna mae bolen
Hi Shirley, I am trying to locate more information on Anna Mae Bolen Lewter Harvey. She is my great grandmother and I am having a hard time locating any information on her. I would appreciate any help you have to offer. The best I can tell is that she married my great- grandfather James Jackson in Claiborne parish. I believe that her father was born in Louisiana, and her mother in Georgia, however, I am not having any luck as to their names. Thank you.

Phantom 309
Funderburk descendants
To clarify, you have created a memorial to Jacob Funderburk Sr.

Besides this being a 'burial unknown', which is outside Find A Grave guidelines, you have him dying in Alabama, when all other researchers have documented his death as occurring in South Carolina. This is disconcerting to those of us who are striving for exactitude.

If, as in your bio poem, those who file every legal document for providing proof are blessed, you might be able to provide proof for your undocumented burial, it would certainly be enlightening for the rest of us who have been unable to locate his proper resting place.

Funderburk descendants

In the biography section of the early settlers, a bit of source information would be helpful, especially on the 'burial unknown' memorials.

Additionally, I fail to see the relevance by including your relationship to the Funderburk family in each the spaces intended for the individual's biography.

After all, they are not only your relatives, they are mine too, as well as hundreds of others. I feel that it would be prudent to leave virtual flowers with a note in regards to your relationship.

Thank you,
