I am a retired teacher, currently living in Kentucky. Find-a-Grave has been such a blessing in helping me make connections with my past. If I can help someone else in the same way, I will happily do so.

Edwards family
Vicki, feel free to use anything I have on Find-A-Grave, as we all share our family history with others who too are connected. Mary Edwards, daughter of Champion Edwards was my great-grandmother, and thus, making Champion my great-great grandfather, as well. That is amazing that you found a board from the old school house. I made a visit to Grayson County last year, and I picked up some rocks/stone from a general store that was torn down that my uncle worked at.. and from a cave that my dad had played in as a child. I live in Florida, and I love Find-A-Grave, because it helps me stay in touch with my family so far away. I am glad you found anything helpful that I have posted.

RE: Transfers
Their surname is Johns and not Jones as in your note.

As far as I can tell, your ancestors are the only ones with the Johns surname in Macon county, GA.

That's why I transferred those two memorials to you. Maybe you can research and find their relationship to your Johns.

RE: memorial #53346444 - Willie Mae Young
Before I transfer your grandmother's memorial, please tell me a little about your grandmother.

I noticed that you created a memorial for your grandmother's husband, but his last name is Lee.

Why is your grandmother shown as having married an Young and not a Lee? Was she married twice, the second time to a Lee?

Also are there other memorials in the Macon county area that you are related to? I like to transfer them in related groups to they stay together.

Transfer has been made. If there are others that you want me to transfer to you just let me know. I like creating memorials. I have been doing genealogy for 30+ years and I have been helped and I love to repay the kindness of there.

I am sorry you did all that searching. I do not understand. As you can see in the obituary, Myrl is suppose to be buried there. It could be a mistake in the obituary. I have seen that before. Thank you for all you did. Rhunae

Vickie, thank you so much for the grave photos. Can I please ask a favor? I have deleted the obits. Would you sort the photos so that the MOTHER AND FATHER photos are the ones not showing. I would appreciate it so much. Rhunae
