Bio Photo Amateur photographer in Massachusetts who has always enjoyed wandering through cemeteries and taking photos. Discovery of Find A Grave now gives me an excuse to get out with my camera and take photos.

And yes, my profile image is indeed from an actual headstone in the Forefathers Burial Ground of Chelmsford, Massachusetts for Oliver Fletcher (d.1771) (Find A Grave Memorial# 18168422).

Am contacting you to ask permission to post a copy of your photo of the cenotaph of Pvt George Sutherland (Lowell Cemetery) to his memorial page.

RE: Mix up
Thank you so much Patrick. I will do so now. And thank you for doing all of these memorials. I don't know when I'll ever get to Lowell so having these is invaluable for research.

Mix up
Hi Patrick -

I think I may have contacted you before but I couldn't find the email. There are two memorials managed by you that have family information switched.

l# 113884237
Francis J Kelleher, who is buried in G/689/1A doesn't belong to any of the family listed. This Francis is buried with his wife Eva, l# 113884235.

This Francis # 113884239 is the one related to everyone you have listed in the other memorial. This should be plot M/24/2 and he is there with his parents Austin and Bridget who are in M/24/1.

Ive used the Cemetery database to confirm the plot sharing and locations and the Austin/Bridget/Francis/ Austin (and Marietta and Andrew) are my family that I've researched so I'm certain of the information I've provided.

The multitude of Austins and Francis' and Andrews etc is mind-boggling and a mix up is completely understandable. I'm also convinced the families are related but have no proof.

What can I do to help correct this, if anything? I'd be more than happy to take over #113884239 if you'd like to transfer it.

Thank you!

Patrick, if you are not related to (Mr. and Mrs )John J. and Carole V. (Rowe) Burgoyne, would you consider transferring to me:
Memorial # 57057095
Memorial # 57057119

Otherwise, contact me for more detailed information regarding this couple.

Exilda M Carey and Family
I am in the process of trying to tie together all of my Grandfather's Ouellette Family. Exilda Ouellette Carey was his sister.

Exilda Find A Grave# is 115385992 if you could either give me ownership of her listing or add Joseph S Ouellette 58171348 as her father and Mary Lemire Ouellette 177390502 as her mother and her Husband William H Carey 115386040 (you own also) they were married in 1894.

Thank You for your efforts and your help

Ha! I know - they certainly didn't sugarcoat it on some of these death certificates. I wish I knew the details of how they arrived at the "alcoholic insanity" conclusion. Bet there is a story or two there somewhere.

Hi Patrick. Will you add your photos to Hugh's daughter, also buried here:
Find A Grave Memorial# 175761154
I will request it formally.

James R, Carey
I live in Wakefield near Lakeside Cemetery. After reading the Globe article and finding that James Carey was buried in Wakefield, I went to find his grave. I researched him to create the Find A Grave memorial. I only found three children, not four as the article claimed. He was buried on his 45th birthday.
Thanks for adding his photo.
