RE: Max Lowenmyer Loewenmeyer # 153172086
Hello,

I left it as a maiden name due to the business registration and building ownership in Omaha being filed under both spellings at one time or another.

You can see that the younger siblings changed the spelling within one decade. Various newspaper clippings and "Who's Who" types of books in Omaha reflect the change but a person would only find it if they were specifically looking for it.

The parents and some of the older siblings never changed the spelling and so it would be hard to link relatives who retained the spelling if it wasn't referenced in the search section rather than the body of the bio which isn't searchable.

I would be absolutely delighted if Find A Grave would give an additional name section for various reasons aside from changes of spellings. It can make a world of difference when searching for kin.

Even better would be making the bio section a searchable page but I guess we aren't there yet when it comes to data retrieval in the ancestry business.

RE: Erstine W Fairbrother
Hi Debbie,

There is some sort of mix up here. Erstine Fairbrother's memorial is #57990647 & is in Vermont done by Contributor Barb Destromp. I work in NH & MA. You have a different memorial number posted: #131496111 which I have no way to look up. Please let me know.

Emma Jane Cushnie/Tucker
I don' hyphenate or put 2 names in the last name
field.

Since John died in 187 I would guess that Tucker is her second husband. So I'm accepting the edit but removing Cushnie from last name field. She is linked to John as he spouse.

Max Lowenmyer Loewenmeyer # 153172086
Greetings,

Thank you for the edits for Max.

The reason I have his last name set up with both spellings is due to the fact that he used both spellings while living in Omaha.

He started out with the original Loewenmeyer his parents used but once he opened his own store he shortened the name by a couple of vowels.

In order to find information about his businesses it was important to use both spellings.

His sister Emily also shortened the spelling of the name when she used it. In order to find her marriage I had to use the modified version of the last name.

I hope this helps in understanding my motivation.
