|I started my ancestry over 20 yrs. ago, and might add It has become an obsession with me, I am like a mad dog hunting for the bones of my ancestors.|
I started with very little on some surnames, and now have much more, and any little thing I get, is like giving candy to a kid.
I salute all those on findagrave who have helped me, and thousands of others. These people are nonstop, and deserve a monument to them alone.
My surnames, are Chance, Norman, Harrison in TX. Other areas Sanders, Stevenson, Plumlee/Plumley, Shockley, Ogle, Brownfield, Stewart, Kidwell, Tibbets, Boone, Warren, and many others.

|DReinholdt||John Wesley Stevenson|
John Wesley Stevenson [Find A Grave Memorial# 25769101] and Mary Ann (Shockley) Stevenson [Find A Grave Memorial# 25769158] were my great grandparents. Their daughter, Olive Pearl Stevenson, was my grandmother, and her daughter, Doris, was my mother.
I have been trying to fill in our Stevenson family ancestry tree, and I wonder if you have any further information on John Wesley Stevenson's parents, James M Stevenson and Maria "Martha" Baughman (my gg grandparents)?
I have no information on Maria Baughman's family at all (i.e. parents, siblings, etc.), and I have just the names Andrew and Mary (Cline?) as James M Stevenson's parents - no other family info. I would love to be able to fill in more information for them. Also, my mother had always been told we were related to Vice President Adlai Stevenson. She thought he was possibly a brother to James M Stevenson, but I have found nothing to corroborate that and again wonder if you know of any connection to our Stevenson line? Or more likely, know for certain there is no connection?

|Robin (Harrison) Clarke||Hello Patricia|
I have been working on my Harrison family tree. My aunts started it back in 1980ish. Della Sarah Chance Harrison was my Great Grandmother. My father is Bobbie Ray Harrison, and My grandfather is Charles Noah Harrison, Son to Joseph Eli Harrison. From what I understand, Della was the mother of my grandmother Nolan Barber. If you by chance have ANY information that could help me in my search past James Mason Harrison, or any other info please, it would be awesome to hear stories, links, anything.

Pat, Sarah Norman Price is my great grandmother. Her parents were George Newton Price and Sarah Anne Chance.
Sarah N. Price married my great grandfather, George Washington Campbell. She was his second wife.
I am sure you know that Samuel Chance and Joseph San Pierre are members of S. F. Austin's "Old 300"
I am on ancestry.com, my trees are public under campspur_1
I love working on genealogy.

|Sue Barron Bruton||RE: Norman Valley|
It was great hearing from you also. Even bigger news we finally figured out all the mess and parts all strewn around Grandma Sarah's grave. So will be getting hers and WP's Normans rebuilt and put together. We figured out that most of the strewn pieces were from his. Lots of heavy lifting. and leveling. Also found another unmarked grave with a much older headstone next to Sarah on her right close too here. we have found lots of little pieces of headstones. Is it Samuel Chance ??????? We don't know . But hoping. Headstone has disintegrated under ground and with a oak tree growing where it stood. It was cut out of limestone and just crumbles. Are being extremely carful with.
|Sue Barron Bruton||Norman Valley|
Gary and sue Bruton here on Leander Texas. Just wanted to let you know the work is continuing on Norman Valley Cemetery. we have updated may pictures or clean and reset headstones. We still have about 8 to do including Sarah Norman Chances". She will likely be our last one to do. We will need to hire someone to review here site since it was desecrated in the 60's

I am looking for tying David MC Chance to Sam Chance and finally Sam Chance to Vincent (Vinnie)Chance. I notice on Emily C Norman Chance's Find A Grave record (#33044925)that you mention an inscription.
