Ellen Mahoney Sullivan
Hello Jerry,
I was wondering if you would share your source for Ellen's maiden name. Our family research indicated her maiden name was Harrington. Thanks for your help. Terry Sullivan Smelcer

Jerry- I want to apologize for being a know it all. I sent a message last week based on information I have had for a long time. However, after a visit to Holy Rosary Cemetery yesterday, I find that I am wrong in my belief. My husband and I had never noticed the engraving of the sides of Patrick and Ellen Sullivan's memorial stone. I have updated my family and I thank you for getting the story right! Jerry -- just catching up on some findagrave work prior to visiting the cemeteries next week, and I found you have added two sons to Patrick M. and Ellen Sullivan in St. Ann's Cemetery,Lindina WI.
Patrick and Ellen are my great great grandparents, and I am sorry to tell you that there are no Mark or James in this immediate family. I know there are other Sullivan families in Tn. of Plymouth, possibly Lyndon Station area. Terry Sullivan Smelcer

RE: Besse
I have a great great uncle Patrick M., born in Juneau County in 1858. He was married twice, once to Mary Katherine Clark and after her death he married Catherine Downing. His father was also Patrick, born in Ireland about 1818. As you know, EVERY Sullivan family has more Patricks, Michaels, and Johns than we know what to do with!!!

Yes, my father was Frank, Dorothy's youngest brother. What is your relationship to us?

RE: Frank,Anna & Iona Fitzgerald!
My sister remembers that Grandma Annie had a brother named Joe. There may be other people I can ask if they know anything.
We both also remember that Grandma had a summer visitor many times of a woman related to her in some way. She was a natural redhead (like Iona, Mom and me) and had 2 kids, a girl named Evie and a teen boy. Can't remember his name nor the woman's. Her husband never came and she might have been a widow.
Does this ring a bell?
I can't find Mary Mears at Calvary. Perhaps she just doesn't have a memorial yet?
Your cousin or something,

RE: Frank,Anna & Iona Fitzgerald!
Hi Charmaine,
So nice to meet you! I am in a bit of shock, because the only sibling of Grandma Annie (what Grandpa & everyone called her) that I knew of was Mary Sullivan Mears! I didn't know she had other siblings! This is great news!
Yes, I would love to have that picture of Grandma with her family!
And I will get to sending you the pic of Belle, Annie, my Mom Rose, and me (4 generations of women!) as soon as I can. I may well put it on Grandma's site or Mom's also. But, I may need a few days. My brother-in-law just had major surgery and I have a friend critically ill in another hospital right now.
This is so exciting! I wrote down your email address. I am not an expert on sending photos by email, but one of my sisters is and i can get some help from her.
Aunt Gerri was a great lady as was my Grandma Annie! Annie was a true treasure! Gosh, I love her!
Your cousin of some sort I guess,
Colleen Iona Finlayson Kelly
Again, Thanks so much and how nice it is to find a blood relative you never knew about!

Hi Jerry!
I would be thrilled if you uploaded a pic of Grandma Anna! Thank you so much!
Now, how are you related? Through Anna's sister, Mary Sullivan Mears? Or through someone else?
I have been looking for Grandma's sister, Mary! She visited Grandma out on the Fitzgerald farm quite often...most summers for a visit I think. And I have a 4 generation picture of Belle Sullivan, Anna, my Mom (Rose) and me as a baby! I will put that up when I get the picture fixed...just a little wrinkled.
Again, thanks! Sorry for delay. My brother-in-law was in hospital for major surgery which was successful...Praise the Lord!

RE: Frank,Anne & Iona Fitzgerald!
Hi Jerry!
My mother was Frank and Anna's daughter and Iona's sister. My Mom is Rose Rita (Fitzgerald) Finlayson. I am Colleen Iona Finlayson Kelly, daughter of Rose Fitzgerald and James Finlayson. Frank and Anna are my grandparents! I am looking for some more relatives for my Grandma Anna. I know the names of her parents, Patrick and Belle Sullivan from the St. Loius area.
And Anna had a sister, Mary Sullivan Mears of the Milwaukee area, whom I haven't been able to locate.
I have to leave home now, but I would love to get back with you about our connections!
Again, thank you and God Bless you!!!
